Ethan: You heard her, Arthur. As Chief Executive Officer, I hereby execute the majority shareholder's directive. You are terminated from Vance Enterprises immediately.
Arthur: You can't fire me at a wedding! This isn't an official board meeting!
Clara: Over seventy percent of the company's voting shares are standing right here in this room under this chandelier. This is as official as it gets.
Eleanor: And as the sole owner of this hotel ballroom tonight, I am ordering security to hold you in the manager's office until the police arrive!
Arthur: Police?! Eleanor, I'm your late husband's brother! You can't put your own family in prison!
Eleanor: You stopped being my family the moment you put my baby girl in a cardboard box and handed her to a stranger at a fire station!
Arthur: Ethan, talk to her! If I go down for fraud, the company stock will plummet fifty percent by tomorrow morning!
Ethan: I don't care if the stock drops to zero, Arthur. You are going to pay for every single day my sister spent without her family.
Arthur: You're all fools! You're throwing away hundreds of millions of dollars for sentimentality!
The two security guards began dragging Arthur down the side corridor as he kicked and screamed, his expensive suit rumpled and his polished shoes sliding uselessly across the white marble floor.
Arthur: You'll regret this! My lawyers will tear this DNA test to shreds in federal court!
Eleanor: Good luck fighting federal prosecutors from a remand cell, Arthur!
The heavy double doors of the side corridor slammed shut, cutting off Arthur's frantic screaming. The ballroom fell into a stunned silence, three hundred guests standing frozen under the golden chandeliers.
Ethan: Clara... I mean, Evelyn... I don't even know what to call you right now.
Clara: Clara is the name I grew up with, Ethan. But knowing where I come from... knowing who my mother is... changes everything.
Eleanor: Look at your dress, my sweet girl... I tore your strap. I was so awful to you when you walked into this room.
Clara: You were trying to protect your son. You thought I was someone trying to hurt your family.
Eleanor: I was blind and arrogant. I judged you by your clothes, never realizing you were carrying my own blood around your neck.
Ethan: Mother... look at the two of you standing together. You have the exact same smile.
Eleanor: We do, don't we? Oh, my darling girl... can you ever forgive me for the horrible things I said to you tonight?
Clara: You didn't know the truth. Arthur tricked all of us for twenty-two years. But the truth is out now.
Ethan: So... what does this mean for our wedding?
Clara: Well... if I'm your sister Evelyn... then we obviously can't get married, Ethan!
Ethan: Wait, what?! Oh my God! We were about to get married!
The entire crowd erupted into a sudden wave of lighthearted, nervous laughter as the realization hit Ethan all at once.
Eleanor: Thank God I yanked that dress strap before you two signed that marriage license!
Ethan: I was so focused on standing up for Clara that I didn't even realize... I almost married my long-lost sister!
Clara: I guess the universe had a very strange way of bringing us back together as brother and sister!
