The Groom Found A Secret Letter Left On His Crying Daughter's Sofa

The heavy mahogany doors of the private holding suite slammed open with a loud bang, echoing down the high marble corridor of the grand estate. Marcus adjusted the cuffs of his sleek black tuxedo, his chest heaving as he rushed into the dimly lit room with a panicked, breathless gasp.

Marcus: Lily! Where are you, sweetheart?

Across the room, eight-year-old Lily sat on the velvet sofa, her white flower girl dress crumpled around her as she sobbed hysterically into her tiny hands. Tears soaked through the silk bodice of her dress, her small shoulders shaking uncontrollably.

Marcus: Oh God, baby, what happened? Why are you crying like this?

Lily: Daddy... please don't make me go away! Please don't let her take me!

Marcus dropped to his knees on the cold floor, pulling his weeping daughter tightly into his arms. As he held her close, a crisp white envelope slipped from her trembling fingers and fluttered onto the marble floor with a quiet rustle. With a frown, Marcus reached down with one hand while keeping his arm around Lily, picking up the thick paper and unfolding it.

Marcus: What is this? Who gave this to you, Lily?

Across the top of the unfolded document, bold black letters spelled out a official header: BOARDING SCHOOL ACCEPTANCE LETTER - STRICT OVERSEAS RESIDENTIAL FACILITY. Marcus's eyes scanned down to the signature line, reading the non-refundable registration fee receipt signed by his fiancée just two days prior. His face contorted with sudden, blinding rage as the realization hit him like a physical blow.

Marcus: She signed you up for a boarding school in Switzerland? On our wedding day?!

Lily: She told me I would be leaving right after the reception... she said you agreed to it, Daddy!

The double doors creaked open again, and Vanessa stood in the entryway wearing a sweeping white bridal gown, breathless and pale as she looked inside.

Marcus: You lied to my daughter, Vanessa.

Marcus glared up toward the doorway, his eyes burning with intense anger as he stood up with the letter clutched in his fist, ready to tear his entire wedding apart.
