The library door swung open with a sharp creaking sound.
Eleanor walked inside, holding a thick brass fireplace poker.
Two large private security guards stood right behind her.
"Give me those papers, Victoria," Eleanor demanded cold-heartedly.
Jack stepped directly between Eleanor and Victoria's body.
"You are not touching her again," Jack said firmly.
Eleanor pointed the brass poker directly at Jack's chest.
"This is my house, and you are trespassing," Eleanor snapped.
Victoria clutched the evidence folder close to her stomach.
"Father knew what you were doing to his bank accounts," Victoria said.
"He wrote everything down before he took his last breath."
Eleanor's pale face turned completely white for a second.
She motioned for the two guards to step forward.
"Take that paper from her right now," Eleanor ordered.
The guards moved toward Jack with heavy steps.
Jack ducked under the first guard's reaching arm quickly.
He shoved the large man back into the wooden bookcase.
Books crashed down across the floor in a noisy mess.
The second guard grabbed Jack's leather jacket collar firmly.
Jack spun around and pushed the guard into the doorframe.
Victoria ran toward the open window on the side wall.
"Stop her right now!" Eleanor screamed at the top of her lungs.
Victoria lifted the window sash and climbed out into the yard.
Jack broke free from the guard and followed right behind her.
They ran across the green lawn toward Jack's truck.
Behind them, Eleanor shouted furious threats into the quiet air.
Jack unlocked the truck doors with his remote key fob.
Victoria jumped inside the passenger seat and slammed the door.
Jack jumped behind the steering wheel and started the motor.
He stepped down hard on the gas pedal right away.
Tires screeched loudly as they tore down the long driveway.
