David: Your father can't save you from a recorded attempted murder charge, Victoria.
Victoria: I'll tell the police you hit me! Look at my face! You slapped me three times!
David: I used reasonable force to subdue a violent intruder who had just tried to kill my child. The security camera audio proves I acted in defense after your assault.
Victoria looked around the grand hallway frantically, realizing she was completely trapped.
Victoria: Where is my purse? I'm leaving!
David: You aren't going anywhere. The main security gate at the end of the driveway is locked electronically from my phone.
Victoria: Open the gate, David!
David: Sit on the floor and shut up.
Outside the massive front windows, red and blue lights began flashing through the trees down the long driveway.
The sound of loud police sirens grew louder as multiple patrol cars sped up toward the front entrance of the mansion.
Chloe: The police are here, Daddy.
David: Yes, they are, sweetheart. The bad lady is going away for a very long time.
Victoria ran toward the side exit leading to the garage, but David stepped into the doorway, blocking her path entirely.
Victoria: Move out of my way!
David: You made your choice when you laid hands on my little girl.
The heavy front doors swung open, and four armed police officers rushed into the grand foyer with their weapons drawn.
Officer Miller: Police! Nobody move! Put your hands where we can see them!
David: Officers, in here. I am David Sterling, the homeowner. The suspect is Victoria Sterling, standing by the garage door.
Officer Miller: Ma'am, keep your hands up and turn around slowly!
Victoria: Officer, you have to listen to me! He beat me! Look at my face! He attacked me!
Officer Miller: Ma'am, do not move! Hands behind your back right now!
David: Officer, the security video from that camera right there shows her shoving my six-year-old daughter off that upper balcony five minutes ago. The video feed is saved directly to my private server.
Officer Miller: Is this true, ma'am?
Victoria: It was an accident! She slipped near the railing!
Officer Miller: We'll review the video footage right now. Second officer, secure the suspect!
Another police officer stepped forward, pulling Victoria's arms behind her back and snapping heavy steel handcuffs around her wrists.
Victoria: Get your hands off me! Do you know how much money my family has?!
Officer Miller: You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.
