Elena looked down at Chloe with an expression full of calm, quiet pity.
"That is the whole point of this entire test, Chloe," Elena answered back.
"You should treat every human being with real dignity and true kindness."
"It should not matter if they wear old clothes or expensive modern suits."
Mark looked down at his crying wife with deep disappointment in his heart.
"I warned you about your bad attitude so many times, Chloe," Mark said.
"You thought having money meant you were better than everyone else today."
The lawyer handed a sharp silver ballpoint pen over to Mrs. Vance.
"If you sign these revocation forms, the housing trust ends today," he stated.
Chloe reached out her shaking hands toward the silver pen in fear.
"Please do not sign those papers!" Chloe begged with a very loud voice.
"Where will we go if we lose this massive suburban luxury house?"
Elena looked over at her nephew Mark with very deep concern and care.
"Mark will always have a warm place in my heart and business," Elena said.
"He works hard every single day at his quiet office downtown for us."
"But your free luxury life in this mansion ends right now, young lady."
Elena put the silver pen down onto the legal page and signed it.
The official dark ink dried fast against the clean white legal paper.
"You have thirty short minutes to pack your personal clothes," Elena commanded softly.
"The security guards will stand at the front doors until you exit."
Chloe looked up at her husband with wild, desperate eyes full of tears.
"Mark, tell her she cannot kick me out!" Chloe shrieked in total despair.
"Tell her you love me and that we are staying right here!"
Mark took a deep breath and pulled his gold wedding ring off slow.
He placed the heavy ring right into Chloe's open, shaking right hand.
"I am calling my divorce lawyer first thing tomorrow morning," Mark said.
