Furious Rage And The Fallout

The Nanny Saved My Baby From The Fallen Heir

Victoria: You can't just throw me out! We signed a prenuptial agreement that grants me a monthly allowance until the wedding date!

Mark: That prenuptial agreement is officially null and void! You just committed attempted murder on camera in front of my eldest daughter!

Victoria: It was an accident! The video doesn't show the full context!

Mark: The video shows you releasing the brake and shoving a baby down twenty hardwood steps! Do you think any judge in this country is going to give you a single dime of my estate?

Mark took a heavy step toward her, his face dark with absolute fury. The sub-bass pulse of his heavy footsteps seemed to echo off the tall marble walls. Victoria backed up against the heavy wooden front door, her face turning pale as she finally realized that her greed had utterly destroyed her life.

Mark: Chloe, call the police right now. Tell them to send a squad car immediately. I am pressing full criminal charges for child endangerment, attempted murder, and fraud.

Chloe: Dialing 911 right now, Dad.

Victoria: No! Don't call the cops! Mark, if I get arrested, my reputation will be ruined! My family business will go bankrupt!

Mark: I hope your business burns to the ground. I hope you spend the next twenty years rotting inside a federal prison cell!

Victoria: Clara, tell him! Tell him it wasn't that bad! You caught the baby, didn't you? No one actually got hurt!

Clara: Do not speak to me. You are a disgusting, heartless human being. You used an innocent baby as a pawn in your sick game.

Victoria: You're just a servant! You have no right to judge me!

Mark: She is ten times the human being you will ever be! Clara dove onto a marble floor to catch my child while you stood on the stairs watching like a vulture!

Victoria turned around and grabbed the heavy brass handle of the front door, yanking it open in a frenzy. She stumbled out onto the front porch, her high heels clicking loudly against the concrete as she ran toward her luxury sports car parked in the driveway.

Mark: Run all you want, Victoria! The police have the security footage sent directly to their department dispatch! There is nowhere you can hide!

The front door slammed shut, leaving a heavy silence in the grand foyer. Mark stood near the fireplace, his chest heaving as he stared at the security monitor. The reality of what had almost happened finally crashed over him like a tidal wave. He turned slowly toward Clara, who was still kneeling near the stairs, holding tiny Lily in her arms once again.

Mark: Clara... I don't even know what to say to you.

Clara: You don't have to say anything, Mr. Sterling. I'm just glad Lily is safe.

Mark: I almost doubted you. For two terrible minutes, I let that evil woman make me question your loyalty.

Clara: You were scared for your baby, sir. Any father would be overwhelmed in that moment.

Mark: That is no excuse. You saved my daughter's life today. You threw your own body onto solid marble without thinking twice.
