Mark turned toward his wife as she reached her feet. Before Victoria could utter another lie, Mark raised his right arm and delivered a resounding slap straight across her face. *SLAP!* The heavy impact rang out across the white walls of the grand hall. Victoria let out a loud gasp of shock as the blow knocked her sideways onto her hands and knees once again.
Victoria: Ah! Mark! Why did you do that to me?!
Mark: Shut your lying mouth!
Mark stepped closer, towering over the terrified woman on the floor. He pointed his finger menacingly right between her eyes, his voice booming like thunder throughout the entire mansion.
Mark: You touch my son again and you're dead!
Victoria: Mark... please... you don't understand...
Mark: I understand everything! Did you think I was stupid, Victoria? Did you think I didn't notice the bruises on my boy's arms last week? Did you think I didn't hear the security camera audio from the hallway ceiling?
Victoria's face turned completely white. All the color drained from her lips as she looked up at the ceiling corners. Hidden inside the elegant light fixtures were tiny state-of-the-art security cameras that connected directly to Mark's phone. Mark pulled his smartphone out of his pocket and tossed it onto the floor right in front of Victoria's face. The screen was playing the live recording from five minutes ago: it clearly showed Victoria violently spinning little Leo across the marble, laughing as he screamed, and Sarah courageously rushing in to rescue the boy.
Mark: I watched the live video feed on my phone while I was driving back from the city! I saw every single thing you did to my innocent son! You married me for my estate, my money, and my trust fund, and you tried to abuse my child!
Victoria: Mark, please forgive me! I was stressed! I didn't mean to hurt him!
Mark: You are done in this house! The divorce lawyers are already on their way, and my legal team has already filed a restraining order and police charges against you for child endangerment!
Victoria began to weep genuine tears of panic, but no one in the room felt an ounce of pity for her. Two large security guards who had entered behind Mark walked forward and pulled Victoria up by her arms. They escorted the screaming, struggling woman out through the heavy wooden front doors, removing her from Blackwood Manor forever. The quiet returned to the grand foyer, leaving only the soft sound of little Leo whimpering softly near the wall.
