Doctor: Good news, Mr. and Mrs. Sterling. The ultrasound shows no signs of placental abruption or internal injury.
Clara: Oh, thank goodness! Did you hear that, Julian?
Julian: I heard it, sweetie. Thank you so much, Doctor.
Doctor: We'll keep her overnight for standard monitoring, but both mom and baby are in great shape.
The doctor smiled and left the quiet hospital room, closing the door softly behind him.
Julian sat down on the chair beside Clara's bed, holding her hand tightly against his cheek.
Julian: I was so terrified when I saw you falling, Clara. My heart stopped beating.
Clara: You caught me, Julian. You saved both of our lives today.
Julian: I'll always catch you. I promise you that.
A knock sounded at the hospital door, and Julian's chief legal adviser, Arthur Vance, walked into the room carrying a leather briefcase.
Arthur: Good evening, Julian. Mrs. Sterling, I am so glad to hear you both are doing well.
Julian: What's the status on the criminal charges, Arthur?
Arthur: The district attorney viewed the hallway camera footage an hour ago. They've formally charged Evelyn with attempted first-degree murder.
Clara: Will she be granted bail?
Arthur: Given the overwhelming video evidence and the flight risk posed by her offshore accounts, the judge denied bail entirely.
Julian: Good. What about the trust fund and the stolen inheritance money?
Arthur: We've already served a court injunction to freeze all bank accounts associated with her name.
Julian: Can we recover the funds she transferred out of my father's policy?
Arthur: Yes. Because the transfer documents contained forged signatures, the financial transactions are legally void from the start.
Clara: So the estate will finally be restored to Julian?
Arthur: Exactly. Every cent of the family fortune, including the mansion and corporate shares, returns under Julian's sole control.
Julian: I don't care about the mansion, Arthur. Put the entire house up for sale tomorrow morning.
Clara: Are you sure, Julian? That was your childhood home.
Julian: It stopped feeling like a home a long time ago. We're going to buy a new house where we can raise our child in peace.
Arthur: I'll prepare the property listing paperwork right away, sir.
Julian: Thank you, Arthur. Keep me updated on the formal court dates.
Arthur nodded respectfully and stepped out of the hospital room, leaving the couple in peaceful quiet.
Clara: A new home sounds wonderful, Julian. Somewhere far away from all this dark history.
Julian: A fresh start for the three of us. Just like we always dreamed.
