Her Stepmother Dropped Her Baby Until The Maid Stepped In

The quiet afternoon inside the Dallas mansion was broken by a cold, sharp voice coming from the second-floor balcony. Standling near the high wooden railing, Victoria held six-month-old Lily by her tiny ankle, dangling the child over the long drop to the main floor.

Victoria: Say goodbye to your precious child.

Down in the foyer, Sarah dropped her dusting cloth as she looked up in pure horror. The fair-skinned maid sprinted across the black-and-white checkered marble floor, her heart pounding against her ribs as she saw the baby slipping from Victoria's fingers.

Sarah: No! Stop! Don't do it!

Victoria: Oops. Too late.

The tiny infant fell through the open air, crying in terror as the distance closed in a fraction of a second. Sarah threw her body forward, diving across the cold stone floor with her arms outstretched to catch the baby just inches before impact.

Sarah: Got you! I got you, sweet baby!

Sarah slid across the black-and-white tiles, pulling the screaming child tightly against her chest while tears blurred her vision. Up on the balcony, Victoria gasped, her eyes widening in absolute shock and disbelief as her cruel plan crumbled right before her eyes.

Victoria: How... how did you catch her?! You were supposed to be in the kitchen!

Sarah: You tried to kill her! You monster!

Before Victoria could answer, the heavy double doors of the mansion swung open with a loud bang. David, wearing a sharp black suit after rushing back from his board meeting, ran frantically into the foyer. He froze when he saw Sarah kneeling on the floor holding his weeping daughter.

David: Sarah! What happened?! Why is Lily screaming like that?!

Sarah: Sir! She tried to drop her! She held her over the railing and let her go!

David turned his head slowly toward the upper balcony, his face twisting into an expression of absolute, uncontainable rage as he glared at his new wife. He sprinted rapidly up the grand staircase, his heavy footsteps echoing through the house as he closed in on Victoria.

David: Get out of my house right now! Never show your face here again!

Victoria backed away against the balcony wall, her golden satin dress catching the light as she realized that her life of luxury was about to end in total ruin.
