Arthur: "Guards! Hold her in the living room until the police arrive!"
Security Guard: "Yes, Mr. Sterling!"
Nora: "Let go of me! Arthur, please! We can talk about this!"
The two security guards pulled Nora up from the floor, holding her arms tightly as she struggled against her velvet gown.
Arthur ignored her screaming, marching up the grand staircase toward his private home office with heavy, commanding steps.
He opened the double doors of his study and sat down at his dark oak desk, pulling out his smartphone to connect to the security server.
A few seconds later, Elena knocked softly on the open door, holding a sleeping Leo wrapped in a warm fleece blanket.
Elena: "Mr. Sterling? The baby is sleeping now. Should I wait outside?"
Arthur: "Come in, Elena. Please, sit down."
Elena walked in quietly, sitting on the leather sofa near the window while Arthur brought up the live recording system.
Arthur: "I need to watch what happened before I talk to the police."
Elena: "Sir... she was saying terrible things to him before she threw him."
Arthur: "What did she say?"
Elena: "She called him an orphan. She said he didn't belong in this mansion."
Arthur pressed play on the video file, his heart pounding in his chest as the clear 4K footage loaded on his monitor screen.
On the display, Nora could be seen walking into the foyer holding Leo by his tiny arms, lifting him high above her head near the marble columns.
Her voice came through the desk speakers crystal clear, cold and full of hatred.
"Look at you, little orphan. You think you belong in this family?"
Arthur watched in horror as screen-Nora intentionally opened her hands, letting the child drop toward the floor with a cruel smile on her face.
"Oops! My hands are so slippery today!"
Then, the screen showed Elena sprinting across the marble from the grand piano, throwing her body down to catch the child just in time.
Arthur slammed his fist onto the wooden desk, tears of rage welling in his dark eyes.
Arthur: "She threw my son... She intentionally dropped a baby onto solid marble!"
Elena: "It was horrifying, Mr. Sterling. If I had been two seconds slower..."
Arthur: "If you had been two seconds slower, my boy would be dead."
Arthur looked up at Elena, his expression filled with deep respect and overwhelming gratitude.
Arthur: "You saved his life, Elena. You saved my entire world."
Elena: "I love little Leo, sir. I could never let anyone hurt him."
Arthur: "My late wife passed away giving birth to him... Nora was supposed to be a stepmother who cared for him, not an executioner!"
Elena: "She only cared about the money, Mr. Sterling. I've heard her talking on the phone in the kitchen."
Arthur leaned forward, his eyes narrowing as he looked at the young maid.
Arthur: "What did you hear her say on the phone?"
Elena: "She was talking to a lawyer... She said if Leo was out of the picture, the family trust fund would pass directly to her as your spouse."
