A Web Of Greed

Julian: You tried to steal Chloe's entire family legacy while she was drugged?

Evelyn: That money belongs to the Sterling name! Her family was dirt poor before you married her!

Julian: Her grandfather founded the medical research firm that funded half of this company!

Evelyn: And her father lost every dime in bankruptcy! She married you for your bank account, Julian! Why can't you see that?!

Chloe: I loved Julian when he was driving a twenty-year-old car... I never cared about his money...

Julian: I know, sweetheart. I know.

Evelyn: Don't play the innocent victim, Chloe! You knew exactly what you were doing when you signed that prenup!

Julian: She signed a prenup to protect ME, Evelyn! Because she didn't want anyone thinking she married me for wealth!

Evelyn: It was all an act! And now she sits in that wheelchair leeching off your estate!

Julian: She is in that wheelchair because she swerved her car off the road to avoid hitting a school bus six months ago!

Hannah: Mrs. Chloe is a hero, Mrs. Evelyn! You don't have a single drop of goodness in your heart!

Evelyn: How dare a maid talk to me like that! Julian, throw this servant out right now or I will call my lawyer!

Julian: Call him, Evelyn. Go ahead. Call Arthur Vance right now.

Evelyn pulled her phone from her green jacket pocket, her hands shaking as she dialed.

Evelyn: Arthur! Get over to the Sterling mansion immediately! Julian has lost his mind and is letting the servants abuse me!

Arthur: Evelyn? I'm actually sitting in the driveway outside right now.

Evelyn: What? Why are you in the driveway?!

Arthur: Because Julian called me from his car thirty minutes ago when his private flight landed. I brought two Dallas police officers with me.

Evelyn dropped her phone onto the carpet, her green suit rustling as she took two steps back toward the mahogany bookcases.

Evelyn: Police...? Julian... you brought police to our home?

Julian: This isn't your home anymore, Evelyn.

Heavy footsteps echoed from the foyer as Arthur Vance walked into the study, followed by two uniformed Dallas police officers.

Arthur: Good afternoon, Julian. Officers, this is the scene I described on the way over.

Officer Davis: Ma'am, step away from the desk and keep your hands visible.

Evelyn: This is a family dispute! The police have no jurisdiction over internal household matters!

Arthur: Poisoning, physical assault on a disabled person, and forced signature forgery are not household matters, Evelyn. They are serious felonies.
