Mark: Maya, look at Daddy. Are you hurt anywhere else?
Maya: My knees are cold, Daddy... I've been sitting here since seven in the morning.
Mark: Shh, it's okay now. Daddy is right here. Nobody is ever going to treat you like this again.
Evelyn: Mark, you are completely overreacting! I was just teaching her some basic discipline!
Mark: Discipline?! Forcing my motherless daughter to eat out of a bowl on the floor is abuse, Evelyn!
Evelyn: She needs to learn respect for this house! I am the mistress of this estate now!
Mark: You are not the mistress of anything in this house! You are my wife of three months, and that contract ends today!
Evelyn: You can't divorce me over a minor disagreement about household rules!
Mark: Forcing a seven-year-old child onto the floor is not a minor disagreement!
Maya: Daddy, she locked my stuffed bear in the garage too...
Mark: What did you just say, Maya?
Maya: She took Mr. Brown and threw him in the big trash bin in the garage because she said he was dusty.
Mark stood up slowly, lifting Maya into his arms and setting her gently on the high kitchen counter.
Mark: Evelyn, did you throw her mother's memory bear in the garage trash?
Evelyn: That old stuffed animal was filthy, Mark! It didn't match the modern aesthetic of the living room!
Mark: That stuffed animal was the last gift my late wife Clara gave to Maya before she passed away!
Evelyn: Well, Clara is dead! I am your wife now, and I won't have dirty old trash cluttering my pristine home!
Mark: This is NOT your home! My late wife and I built this estate five years ago!
Evelyn: I signed a marriage certificate with you! Half of this mansion belongs to me under Texas law!
Mark: Did you forget about the prenuptial agreement you signed before the wedding, Evelyn?
Evelyn's face turned pale as she clutched her silk robe tighter around her waist.
Evelyn: That prenuptial agreement was signed under duress! My lawyer will challenge it in court!
Mark: My legal team drafted that agreement. You brought zero assets into this marriage, and you will leave with zero.
Evelyn: You wouldn't throw me out on the street! What will the Dallas news media say about your company?!
Mark: I don't care about the news media! I care about my daughter's safety and well-being!
Maya: Daddy... I'm hungry...
Mark: I know, sweetie. I'm going to make you a hot breakfast right now, on a real plate, at the main table.
Evelyn: She isn't allowed to eat breakfast until she finishes cleaning the pantry shelves!
Mark: Evelyn, if you open your mouth again, I am calling the Dallas County Sheriff's Department right now!
Evelyn: On what grounds?! I haven't done anything illegal!
Mark: Child endangerment and emotional abuse! Let's see how the police view your 'household rules'!
Evelyn scoffed loudly, crossing her arms as she leaned against the white marble doorframe.
Evelyn: Call them! See if I care! They won't arrest a woman for giving a child a lesson in manners!
Mark pulled his smartphone from his suit jacket and dialed his head security officer directly.
Mark: Sam, get two security guards up to the main kitchen right now. We have an eviction to process.
