When a single father builds a life around his young daughter, every choice he makes is meant to protect her future. But sometimes the people we invite into our homes do not share those same soft feelings.
A simple celebration can expose deep motives that were hidden behind sweet smiles and fake promises. So let's dive into this story chapter by chapter and enjoy every moment of it.
David: What did you just do to my daughter, Vanessa?
Vanessa looked down at the floor with a fake expression of surprise.
Vanessa: It was just a little mistake, David, she tripped!
Lily: Daddy, she knocked my cake down on purpose!
David: I saw what happened on the camera monitor right behind you.
Vanessa took a step back and reached for her purse.
Vanessa: You are choosing a child over your future wife?
David: My daughter comes before anyone else in this house.
David grabbed the paper sitting on the glass table.
David: The wedding is canceled right now.
