The Threat On The Airfield

A Silenced Female Soldier Secretly Calls Her High Ranking Father

Specialist Sarah Vance stood firmly on the hot concrete surface of the sunlit military airfield.

Captain Miller stepped directly into her personal space with an aggressive glare on his face.

He slammed a heavy metal clipboard down onto the hood of the nearby transport truck.

The loud metallic crash echoed across the wide open tarmac in the bright afternoon sunlight.

Sarah did not flinch, even as the captain leaned forward to intimidate her further.

She kept her spine straight and met his cold eyes without showing any fear.

"You will sign these false maintenance reports right now," Captain Miller demanded sternly.

"I will not sign off on faulty brake parts," Sarah replied calmly and clearly.

"If those trucks fail, real soldiers will get hurt during the transport mission."

Captain Miller sneered at her principled response and pointed his finger near her face.

"You are a low ranking mechanic on this base," Captain Miller spat back fiercely.

"You do what I tell you to do, or I will ruin you."

He aggressively kicked a loose piece of gravel across the tarmac right at her boots.

The small stones sprayed across her boots as he tried to break her resolve.

Sarah took a slow breath to keep her composure in front of his anger.

She knew that reporting a superior officer was a very dangerous path to take.

"The regulations are clear about safety inspections," Sarah reminded him with quiet confidence.

"Regulations are whatever I say they are on this airfield," Miller barked back loudly.

He stepped even closer, trying to force her to step back in retreat.

Sarah stood her ground firmly against the towering officer beside the giant supply truck.

"If you speak a word of this to the commander, you will regret it."

"Is that a direct threat, Captain?" Sarah asked, keeping her tone completely professional.

"It is a promise," Miller growled as he turned toward his loyal squad members.

"Tell everyone she slipped on the staging ramp if anyone asks about her transfer."

The group of junior officers chuckled nervously and followed Miller toward the main hangars.

Their heavy boots crunched loudly against the loose gravel as they walked away together.

Sarah was left completely alone beside the massive tire of the military transport vehicle.

She reached into her tactical vest pocket and pulled out her cracked personal smartphone.

Her hands shook slightly from the adrenaline rushing through her body right now.

She pressed the familiar speed dial button on the cracked screen without hesitation.

The phone rang three times before a deep, authoritative voice answered on the line.

"Dad... I need you to come get me," Sarah said, her voice trembling slightly.

"Are you safe, sweetheart?" General Thomas Vance asked instantly from his distant office.

"Captain Miller is falsifying safety records and threatening anyone who speaks up about it."

The line went completely quiet for two brief seconds on the commander's side.

"Urgent. Stay hidden near the transport wing," General Vance commanded with cold authority.

"The brass is already with me, and we are landing in ten minutes."
