The Confrontation Escalates

When The Arrogant Stepmother Tried To Ruin My Daughter

Evelyn stood her ground on the white marble floor, completely refusing to walk away.

"I am not leaving this home until you give me my fair share!" she demanded.

"You owe me money from the family trust fund, and you know it!"

Richard handed the sleeping baby back to Sarah with great care and attention.

"Take her up to her room and lock the door," Richard whispered to Sarah softly.

Sarah nodded quickly and carried the baby safely up the long grand staircase.

Once Sarah was safely out of sight, Richard turned back to face Evelyn.

"There is no money left in any trust fund for you," Richard stated clearly.

"You spent every single dollar that father left for you in his legal will."

"I paid off your debts twice last year out of my own personal bank account."

Evelyn stomped her gold high-heeled shoe against the hard polished floor in fury.

"That was pocket change for a man who owns a huge corporation!" she screamed.

"You could give me a million dollars today and you wouldn't even notice it!"

Richard shook his head in total disbelief at her outrageous and selfish demands.

"Money is the only thing you ever care about," Richard said with deep disgust.

"You never cared about me, my wife, or my sweet little baby girl."

"You only came to live here so you could find a way to take more."

Evelyn stormed toward the living room table and grabbed a glass decorative vase.

She held it tightly in her hand as if she might throw it across.

"I deserve to live in luxury just as much as you do!" she shouted.

"Put that down right now, Evelyn," Richard warned her with an authoritive tone.

"If you break anything in this house, I will call the police immediately."

Evelyn slammed the heavy glass vase back down onto the wooden table top.

The loud impact made a sharp noise that echoed through the high-ceilinged room.

"Call them! See if I care!" she challenged, taking a step toward Richard.

"Tell them that you are throwing your own poor sister out onto the street!"

"I will tell the reporters how cruel and heartless the big CEO really is!"

Richard pulled out his personal phone from his dark suit jacket pocket calmly.

"I don't care about your empty threats anymore, Evelyn," he stated firmly.

"You crossed the line the moment you put my child in physical danger."

"No amount of money or family history will ever protect you from that."

Evelyn's face turned pale as she saw him start dialing a telephone number.

She realized that her wealthy brother was not playing games with her today.

"Wait! Don't call the police!" she blurted out, her tone changing instantly.

"We can work this out like rational adults if you just listen!"

"You have thirty seconds to start walking toward that front door," Richard said.
