Clara stumbled backward in total shock, her expensive heels clicking sharply against the cold white marble floor.
"You cannot just throw me out like trash, Arthur, I am your lawful wife!" Clara yelled back angrily.
"I have legal rights to this house and your entire family fortune!" she added with sharp malice.
Arthur did not flinch, keeping his broad body firmly planted between his evil wife and his child.
"Our divorce lawyer will be contacting you by the end of the day," Arthur replied coldly.
"I am cutting off all your credit cards and freezing every single shared bank account immediately," he said.
Clara realized that her wealthy lifestyle was rapidly slipping away right in front of her own eyes.
She stomped up the stairs furiously to pack her expensive designer bags before the police were called.
Arthur turned to Elena, his eyes filled with deep gratitude for her brave and selfless quick actions.
"You saved my daughter's life today, Elena, I can never repay you enough," Arthur said softly.
"I love Lily like family, sir, I would do anything to protect her," Elena answered quietly.
Arthur carried his young daughter into the living room, sitting her down on the comfortable leather couch.
He knew he needed absolute proof of Clara's terrible actions to ensure she never received any money.
He called his head security officer to immediately pull up the mansion's private indoor security camera footage.
Ten minutes later, the security officer walked into the office carrying a small black memory flash drive.
Arthur plugged the flash drive directly into his desktop computer and opened the morning recording file.
The video clearly showed Clara grabbing Lily by her shoulders and lifting her over the high railing.
It showed Clara deliberately letting go of the girl while Elena sprinted forward to save her life.
Even worse, the audio recording picked up Clara whispering cold words to herself before the terrible drop.
"Once you are gone, all the money finally belongs to me," Clara had whispered on the tape.
Arthur felt tears of pure anger spring into his eyes as he watched the horrifying footage play out.
He saved the video file onto multiple backup drives to hand over directly to the legal authorities.
