Arthur leaned over the edge of the open lid while his body shook uncontrollably.
George lay inside the white silk box wearing his dark blue officer service uniform.
His face was pale but his chest was moving up and down in very shallow rhythms.
A thin layer of condensation had formed on the inside brass trim of the coffin lid.
Arthur: HE IS BREATHING! CALL AN AMBULANCE IMMEDIATELY!
The entire crowd screamed in total shock as people rushed forward across the grass.
The lead military officer quickly reached into the casket and placed two fingers on George's neck.
Officer: We have a faint pulse! Get the emergency medical team here right now!
Victoria backed away toward the paved cemetery driveway with her hand over her mouth.
Two guests blocked her path before she could reach her luxury black sedan car.
Guest: You are not going anywhere until the police arrive on this property!
Victoria: Get your hands off me right now or I will sue this entire family!
Arthur pulled his brother's upper body slightly upward to help him catch fresh outdoor air.
George opened his eyelids very slowly and looked around at the bright blue sky above.
His lips moved dryly but no strong sound came out of his throat at first.
George: Arthur... cold... so cold...
Arthur: I am right here with you brother! You are safe now!
Leo ran forward and grabbed George's limp hand while crying tears of absolute relief.
Leo: I told them Mister George! I did not let them put you in the ground!
George looked down at the dirty boy and squeezed his small fingers very weakly.
George: Good boy, Leo... good boy...
Loud police sirens echoed from the distance beyond the tall cemetery entry gates.
Two emergency medical vehicles pulled onto the green lawn with their red lights flashing bright.
Paramedics jumped out carrying heavy black medical equipment bags across the thick grass.
They placed an oxygen mask over George's face and lifted him out onto a rolling stretcher.
Paramedic: His heart rate is dangerously slow due to a powerful sleeping toxin!
Arthur: Will my brother survive this terrible thing?
Paramedic: If he had stayed in that sealed box ten more minutes he would be gone.
Arthur turned around and glared at Victoria as police officers placed steel handcuffs on her wrists.
Victoria: This is a massive mistake and my lawyer will fix this whole thing today!
Arthur: Your greed ends right here today, Victoria!
