Victoria: The... the cameras?
Arthur: I synced the estate’s cloud security app to my smartphone before I boarded my flight in Chicago two hours ago.
Arthur pulled out his smartphone, its screen illuminating his stern face. He tapped the glass display, pulling up a high-definition video recording of the foyer labeled with today's date and real-time playback controls.
Victoria: Arthur, those cameras are for outdoor security! You told me they weren't wired inside the house yet!
Arthur: I had the security team install four hidden lenses inside the foyer chandelier last Tuesday after you asked me to change Toby's life insurance policy.
Sarah: Oh, thank God... thank God...
Victoria: Arthur, listen to me! That system isn't reliable! It can glitch or distort movements!
Arthur: Look at this screen, Victoria. Look at it!
Arthur turned the smartphone screen around, displaying the crystal-clear 4K video feed. The video showed Victoria standing on the balcony, lifting baby Toby high above her head in her sparkly maroon dress, and completely opening her hands while Sarah lunged forward to catch him.
Arthur: You opened your hands, Victoria. You dropped my three-month-old child toward a cold marble floor!
Victoria: I... I lost my grip! My hands were slippery from hand lotion! It was an accident, I swear to you!
Arthur: You said, 'He ruined everything' right before you let go! The audio microphone caught every single word!
Victoria: Arthur, please! I was stressed! I haven't been sleeping well since we got married!
Arthur: You attempted to murder my son to get control of his mother's inheritance trust fund!
Sarah: She told me he was taking up half the family trust fund, Mr. Sterling. She said it right before you walked in.
Victoria: You lying little snake! Shut your mouth!
Arthur: Don't you dare speak to her like that!
Arthur holding the baby stood on the marble floor confronting the woman in maroon, his voice booming through the high-ceilinged mansion with raw power. Up on the steps, Sarah remained kneeling under the American flag, holding her breath as Arthur pulled out his corporate radio.
Arthur: Richard, you planned the security. Lock every door.
Radio Voice (Richard): "Copy that, Mr. Sterling. Front gates, rear exits, and garage doors are locked down. Security team is entering the foyer now."
Victoria: Arthur, stop this madness right now! You can't lock me inside my own house!
Arthur: This isn't your house anymore, Victoria. This is a crime scene, and you are under citizen's arrest.
Victoria: You can't do this to me! My father is a major shareholder in Sterling Global! He will destroy your stock valuation by tomorrow morning!
Arthur: Your father lost his board seat three days ago when the SEC audited his private investment firm for embezzlement!
Victoria: What... what did you say?!
Arthur: You thought you were marrying into money to save your family, but I knew who you were the entire time. I was just waiting for you to show your true face.
Victoria: You trap set me!
Arthur: You trapped yourself the moment you put my son’s life in danger for your own greed!
The heavy side doors of the foyer burst open, and four armed private estate security officers in black uniforms marched into the hall, led by Head of Security Richard Vance.
Richard Vance: Mr. Sterling, we have the perimeter secured. Police units are two minutes out.
Arthur: Take her down from that balcony, Richard. Make sure she doesn't go anywhere near my daughter's room or the safe.
Victoria: DON'T YOU TOUCH ME! GET YOUR HANDS OFF MY DRESS!
Two security guards marched up the grand staircase, grabbing Victoria by her elbows as she kicked and screamed against their hold, her sparkly gown catching the chandelier light as she fought back uselessly.
