Uncovering The Betrayal

The Maid Saved His Son Before It Was Too Late

Arthur stepped forward and took baby Leo gently into his own arms.

The infant quickly calmed down once he felt his father's warm embrace.

Arthur handed his briefcase to Elena with a respectful nod.

"Thank you, Elena," Arthur whispered softly.

"You did the right thing today," Arthur added.

Victoria watched them with growing panic in her chest.

She realized her influence over Arthur was slipping away fast.

"Arthur, let us talk about this in private in the study," Victoria pleaded.

"We do not need to make a scene in front of the house staff," Victoria said.

"We will talk right here," Arthur replied with a cold tone.

He looked at the security camera mounted discreetly near the ceiling frame.

Victoria's face turned completely pale as she followed his gaze.

She had forgotten that Arthur had installed upgraded cameras last week.

"The living room camera records directly to my phone," Arthur said quietly.

He pulled his smartphone from his coat pocket with a steady hand.

Arthur unlocked the screen and opened the live security log.

He selected the video recording from five minutes ago.

Victoria tried to reach out and grab the phone from his hand.

"Arthur, please do not do this!" Victoria shouted loudly.

Arthur moved his arm out of her reach and played the video file.

The video clearly showed Victoria plugging in the iron intentionally.

It showed her bringing the hot steam close to the helpless infant.

It showed Elena rushing into the frame to save the baby's life.

Arthur watched the footage with absolute fury growing in his chest.

His hands began to shake as the reality set in.

He turned off the phone screen and slid it back into his pocket.

He looked at Victoria with pure disgust in his eyes.

"You tried to cause harm to a baby in my home," Arthur said softly.

"I was just trying to teach him a lesson about crying!" Victoria blurted out.

"He is ten months old!" Arthur yelled in a thunderous tone.

The echo of his voice shook the large living room.

Elena stood by the door to make sure the baby stayed calm.

Victoria backed up until she hit the edge of the luxury desk.

She knew there was no way out of this caught moment.
