Richard: Mother, tell me you didn't do this! If the police find that vial, we both go to prison for conspiracy!
Evelyn: Shut your mouth, you foolish boy! You are ruining everything!
Maya: He knows the truth, Evelyn. You forced him to help you steal his father's money!
Evelyn: Silence! You are nothing but a common maid! A nobody who cleans our toilets for minimum wage!
Maya: I may be a maid, but I have something you will never have: honor and a clean conscience.
Evelyn: Honor doesn't pay for million-dollar lawyers, girl!
Judge Harrison: It seems your million-dollar lawyers won't be able to save you tonight, Evelyn.
Evelyn: Judge Harrison, look at her hands! She was handling the dinner chairs all evening! Her fingerprints are all over that wooden frame!
Maya: Of course my fingerprints are on the chair. I set the table for twenty guests under your direct orders!
Evelyn: See? She admits she touched the chair! She could have easily attached the needle while placing the silver napkins!
Judge Harrison: Nice try, Evelyn, but a waitress placing a chair does not explain why you were seen hiding a glass vial in your office trash can.
Evelyn: She planted that vial! She probably snuck into my private quarters while I was downstairs greeting the mayor!
Maya: I didn't plant anything. In fact, I have proof that I never entered your office alone.
Evelyn: What proof?
Maya: The head butler, Mr. Thomas, accompanied me into the west wing to carry the extra silverware boxes. Ask him yourself!
Mr. Thomas, an older man in a crisp black suit, stepped out from the serving kitchen entrance, holding a silver tray with a stern expression.
Mr. Thomas: That is correct, Judge Harrison. Maya was with me in the silver pantry from four o'clock until five. She never entered Mrs. Evelyn's private suite.
Evelyn: Thomas! You traitor! I pay your salary!
Mr. Thomas: You pay my salary, Mrs. Evelyn, but Mr. Arthur Sterling hired me thirty years ago to serve an honest family. You are not an honest woman.
Evelyn: I will fire every single one of you by morning!
Judge Harrison: You won't be firing anyone, Evelyn. You won't even be staying in this house tonight.
Richard: Mother... the police cruisers just pulled up outside the main gate.
Evelyn: Richard, call our defense team right now! Tell them to get an injunction against any search warrant!
Richard: It's too late, Mother. They saw the livestream.
Evelyn: What livestream?
Richard pointed toward a young guest standing near the grand piano, who was holding up a smartphone, broadcasting the entire confrontation live on social media.
Guest: Over two hundred thousand people are watching this right now, Mrs. Sterling. The whole city knows what you tried to do.
Evelyn: Turn that phone off! Turn it off right now!
Evelyn lunged forward to grab the guest's phone, but Judge Harrison stepped into her path, blocking her with a stern gaze.
Judge Harrison: Don't make your situation any worse than it already is, Evelyn.
Maya: The truth cannot be hidden anymore, Evelyn. The light has finally come in.
