The small apartment was quiet as the night grew cold and dark.
Daniel opened his silver laptop on the clean kitchen dining table.
Elena typed her secret admin password into the cloud security portal.
The loading wheel turned slowly on the bright blue screen before them.
Four different security camera angles from the mansion appeared on screen.
Elena adjusted the playback bar back to ten o'clock that morning.
The clear video showed the upper balcony floor near the grand railing.
Sarah walked into the frame while carrying a small shiny silver tool.
She crouched down low beside the baby carrier sitting on the table.
Sarah deliberately loosened the main safety lock on the metal handle frame.
Daniel: Look at what she is doing with that small metal wrench!
Elena: She tampered with the handle so it would snap in my hands!
The video zoomed in as Sarah stepped back behind a marble pillar.
When Elena walked over to pick up her son, the handle gave way.
Sarah had staged her dramatic rescue right on the shiny camera view.
Elena: She made it look like I dumped the carrier down!
Daniel: We need to save this raw file onto three separate drives!
Elena: We are taking this proof straight to the city family court!
Elena felt her heavy heart swell with a powerful new determination.
She was going to get her innocent baby boy back home tomorrow.
