The morning sun cut through the heavy red curtains of the grand hallway.
Marcus stood in his private office downstairs while reviewing his corporate inheritance paperwork.
His family lived in a massive marble mansion on the edge of the city.
Everything seemed quiet until a loud sharp scream shattered the calm house.
Sarah: Oh my goodness, drop that right now!
Elena stood near the high white railing on the second floor balcony.
She held a heavy blue woven baby carrier right above the floor edge.
The infant carrier swung dangerously outward over the hard marble courtyard below.
Elena gasped as her hands slipped off the cold handle without warning.
Elena: Somebody help me catch it!
Sarah rushed forward across the polished floor with wide frightened eyes.
She lunged right over the threshold and grabbed the thick cloth strap firmly.
The heavy carrier slammed against the tile floor with a loud wooden thud.
Inside the soft lining, the little baby began to cry out loud.
Sarah: It is okay, sweet little baby, you are safe now!
Sarah pulled the trembling infant close against her navy maid apron.
Heavy boots stomped loudly down the main hallway toward the front staircase.
Marcus ran through the tall glass entry doors with his dark eyes flaming.
His tie was loose and his forehead was covered in cold sweat.
Marcus: What in the world is going on down here?
Sarah turned around quickly with big tears brimming in her eyes.
Sarah: Sir, please help us!
Marcus: Did someone fall down the stairs?
Sarah: Your wife just threw the baby carrier right off the high ledge!
Elena ran down the stairs with her pale hands shaking completely.
Elena: Marcus, do not listen to her wild story for one second!
Sarah: She wanted to get rid of your heir so she could claim the estate!
Marcus stared at his young wife with absolute fury in his chest.
The air in the grand foyer grew cold and completely quiet.
