Arthur lost his footing as his legs buckled under his body.
He fell backward heavily onto the cold smooth marble floor.
A loud gasp went through the entire circle of gathered guests.
Marcus turned around instantly with wide terror in his eyes.
"Dad! Please answer me right now!" Marcus cried out loudly.
He dropped down to his knees beside his unconscious old father.
Victoria stood over them both with her arms crossed tightly.
"He is just playing weak to steal the attention!" she snapped loudly.
Marcus checked his father's weak pulse with frantic shaking fingers.
Arthur's skin felt ice cold to the soft human touch.
"Somebody call nine-one-one immediately!" Marcus yelled out in panic.
A brave young waiter rushed out to dial the emergency line.
Victoria tried to grab the forged legal papers off the floor.
Marcus grabbed her wrist firmly to stop her sneaky quick escape.
"You are not touching a single thing here!" Marcus barked loudly.
Victoria yanked her arm back wildly and lost her own balance.
She stumbled sideways onto the slick floor right beside them both.
Her expensive dress tore slightly against the hard decorative edge.
"Get your hands off me right now you lunatic!" Victoria shrieked loudly.
Marcus ignored her completely as he placed hands on his father.
He began pressing gently on Arthur's chest to help him breathe.
"Dad please wake up and look at me!" Marcus pleaded tearfully.
Arthur groaned softly as his eyelids fluttered open just slightly.
"The trust fund papers... check the vault," Arthur whispered weakly.
Marcus leaned down very close to hear every single words spoken.
"What about the vault in the home office?" Marcus asked softly.
Arthur coughed faintly as his breathing remained very shallow inside.
"She stole the original signed will last night," Arthur whispered slowly.
