The white marble floor of the Sterling estate corridor gleamed under the soft glow of crystal chandeliers. An American flag hung proudly on the tall white wall near the grand double doors. Maya knelt on the cold stone, her light blue dress spread around her, clutching a stack of legal estate papers to her chest. Above her stood Victoria, wearing a gold sequined gown, holding a glass of dark red wine with a cruel smirk.
Victoria: You really thought your father left you this mansion, didn't you?
Maya: Please, Victoria... these are my father's original trust fund documents.
Victoria: They're worthless paper, you pathetic little orphan.
Maya: My father wanted me to have my inheritance!
Victoria: Your father is gone, and I run this family now!
Victoria tilted her wrist without hesitation. A heavy stream of red wine poured directly over Maya's head, soaking her dark hair and staining her light blue dress deep crimson. Maya gasped, pulling back as the cold liquid trickled down her face and dropped onto the white marble floor.
Maya: Why are you doing this to me?
Victoria: Because you're a stain on this estate, just like this wine!
The heavy double doors at the end of the long hallway suddenly swung open with a loud thud. Marcus, dressed in a sharp grey tuxedo, stepped into the corridor. His face turned pale as his eyes locked onto his kneeling daughter and his gold-dressed fiancée standing over her with the empty wine glass.
Marcus: What is going on out here?
Victoria spun around instantly, her cruel expression melting into a sweet, innocent smile as she adjusted her sequined gown.
Victoria: Honey! She spilled it on herself! I was just trying to help her clean it up!
Maya: Father... she poured it on me!
Marcus didn't hesitate. Overcome with rage, he charged down the long marble corridor, his heavy footsteps echoing off the high ceilings.
Marcus: Stop this!
Before Victoria could react, Marcus raised his hand and delivered a forceful slap straight across her cheek. The sharp crack echoed through the hallway, snapping her head sideways as her innocent smile vanished in pure horror. But as Victoria held her burning cheek, none of them noticed the small white security camera mounted on the high ceiling corner, its red light blinking steadily as it recorded every single second of the betrayal.
