Dispatch: 911 Emergency, what is your location?
Mark: Yes, I need emergency police assistance at 442 Maple Drive immediately.
Sarah: MARK, HANG UP THAT PHONE RIGHT NOW!
Mark: I am reporting a severe case of child endangerment and unlawful imprisonment. My wife locked my eight-year-old daughter in a windowless room for weeks.
Dispatch: Sir, is the child safe right now? Are there any injuries?
Mark: She is in my arms right now. The perpetrator is still in the hallway with us, refusing to leave the premises.
Dispatch: Officers are being dispatched to your address right now, sir. Stay on the line.
Sarah: YOU RUINED MY LIFE, YOU UNGRATEFUL BASTARD!
Sarah lunged forward across the wooden floor, her hands clawing wildly toward Mark’s face, her expression contorted into pure rage.
Mark: Don't you dare touch me or my child!
Mark stepped back sharply, raising his heavy arm to block her advance and shoving her back against the hallway wall with firm force.
Sarah: I gave up six months of my life for you! I cooked your meals! I cleaned your house!
Mark: You used my home as a free hotel while abusing my daughter! You are a monster, Sarah!
Sarah: I hate you! I hate both of you! I wish I had never set foot in this pathetic house!
Lily: Daddy... I'm scared of her shouting.
Mark: Put your ear against my shoulder, Lily. Cover your eyes. It’s almost over, baby.
Outside the front windows, the sudden wail of police sirens echoed down the suburban street, the bright red and blue lights flashing against the oak trees in the front yard.
Sarah: No... no, no, no! They're actually here!
Mark: Go ahead and try running, Sarah. The back yard is completely fenced in.
Sarah rushed toward the front door, attempting to grab her purse from the entry table, but the heavy front doors were suddenly kicked open by two uniformed police officers with flashlights drawn.
Officer Davis: Police! Nobody move! Put your hands in the air immediately!
Sarah: Officer, thank goodness you're here! My husband just assaulted me and threatened my life!
Mark: Officer, I am the homeowner who called 911. My daughter is in my arms, and I have high-definition cloud video proof of child abuse.
Officer Davis: Ma'am, step away from the purse and keep your hands where we can see them right now!
Sarah: HE IS LYING! HE IS TRYING TO FRAME ME TO AVOID PAYING MY SPOUSAL SUPPORT!
Officer Davis: Ma'am, turn around and place your hands behind your back!
