Julian: Evelyn, I can transfer all the money back! Every single cent! I'll give you my share of the real estate firm! Just tell the media this was a misunderstanding!
Evelyn: It's too late for financial transactions, Julian. The wire transfers were flagged two hours ago.
Chloe: What do you mean flagged? Flagged by who?
Suddenly, the sharp sound of police sirens blared from outside the cathedral's stained-glass windows. Red and blue lights flashed through the high windows, casting eerie patterns across the grand white floral archways. Heavy boots echoed against the exterior stone steps as multiple armed officers pushed through the front doors.
Arthur: What is this? Who called the federal authorities to a private house of worship?
Evelyn: I did. About forty-five minutes ago, right before I put on this mask.
A tall man in a navy suit stepped down the aisle, flanked by four uniformed state troopers. He pulled a leather badge holder from his coat pocket and displayed it directly to Arthur Vance and Julian.
Federal Agent: Arthur Vance? Julian Hayes? Chloe Vance?
Arthur: I am Arthur Vance. What is the meaning of this intrusion, Agent?
Federal Agent: I am Special Agent Miller with the Financial Crimes Task Force. We have active federal arrest warrants for all three of you regarding grand larceny, wire fraud, conspiracy to commit insurance fraud, and attempted first-degree murder.
Chloe: Murder? I didn't murder anyone! Look at her! She’s standing right there!
Federal Agent: Attempted murder carries the exact same weight under federal law, Miss Vance. Put your hands behind your back.
Chloe: Don't touch me! This is a Vera Wang gown! You can't put cold steel handcuffs on a bride!
Officer: Turn around, lady. Right now.
The state trooper grabbed Chloe's wrists, pulling her hands behind her back with a sharp metallic click of the handcuffs. Chloe shrieked in rage, struggling against the officer's grip as her delicate lace veil ripped away from her styled blonde hair and fell onto the dusty marble floor.
Chloe: Father! Help me! Julian, do something!
Julian: Don't touch me! I'm cooperating! Agent Miller, listen to me, I have state's evidence! I have audio recordings of Chloe planning the vehicle sabotage!
Chloe: You bastard! You recorded me?
Julian: I had to protect myself! She threatened to ruin my hedge fund if I didn't go along with the estate liquidation!
Federal Agent: Save it for the interrogation room, Mr. Hayes. Hands behind your back.
Julian bowed his head in complete shame as another trooper snapped handcuffs around his wrists. The three hundred wedding guests gasped and cheered, recording every second of the groom and bride being cuffed at their own altar.
Arthur: This is a massive mistake! My legal team will have us out on bail in twenty minutes!
Federal Agent: I wouldn't count on that, Mr. Vance. The judge signed a freeze order on every single bank account, property title, and trust fund associated with your name twenty minutes ago. You don't even have enough cash to hire a public defender.
Arthur: What? You froze my corporate accounts?
Evelyn: Every single one of them, Father. You are officially penniless.
