THE TRUTH UNCOVERED

The heavy front doors burst open as two red-uniformed paramedics rushed into the mansion, followed closely by two armed Dallas county sheriff deputies. The bright red and blue emergency lights reflected off the polished marble walls of the entry hall, shattering the peaceful facade of the wealthy suburban estate.

Deputy Miller: Everyone stay where you are! Who called 911?

Jax: I did, Deputy. Over here in the kitchen. My mother just attacked my sister with a heavy wooden stick while she was holding her baby.

Victoria: That's a complete exaggeration! It was a family dispute! They invaded my property!

Deputy Miller: Ma'am, step away from the kitchen island and stand over by the wall. Do not move.

The second deputy immediately stepped between Victoria and the rest of the room, keeping a watchful eye on her as she crossed her arms, fuming in silence. The paramedics dropped their medical kits onto the floor and hurried over to Clara, who was still sitting against the base of the island with her baby.

Paramedic: Ma'am, don't try to move too quickly. Let me take a look at that shoulder. Is the baby hurt?

Clara: I... I don't think so. I covered her head with my arms, but she was terrified. Please check her heart... she has a congenital defect.

Paramedic: We're checking her right now. Breathe easy, you're both safe now.

Jax knelt beside Clara again, taking her small hand in his as the paramedic carefully cut away the torn fabric of her shirt to examine the deep, purple bruise spreading across her collarbone.

Jax: You're going to be okay, Clara. I'm going to make sure you get the best doctors in Dallas for her surgery.

Clara: Thank you, Jax... I was so scared. I thought she was going to kill us both.

Jax: She'll never get close to you again. I'm filing a restraining order today.

Deputy Miller walked over to the shattered pieces of the wooden cutting board and the wooden stick lying near the cabinets. He pulled out a pair of latex gloves and carefully bagged the evidence, taking notes in a small black binder.

Deputy Miller: Son, you mentioned there was security footage of the incident?

Jax: Yes, sir. The system saves directly to a cloud server on my phone. I can transfer the video file to your department right now.

Victoria: Deputy, this is my home! My husband was Richard Sterling! You can't do this to me!

Deputy Miller: Ma'am, I don't care who your husband was. We have a visible injury on a victim, physical evidence of a weapon, and an eyewitness statement. Put your hands behind your back.

Victoria: What?! You're arresting me?! In my own kitchen?!

Deputy Miller: You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.

The metal handcuffs clicked loudly in the quiet room as the deputy secured Victoria's wrists behind her back. For the first time in her life, the wealthy socialite looked utterly powerless, her arrogance crushed under the weight of her own actions.

Victoria: Jax! Tell them to stop! Call our corporate lawyer!

Jax: Our corporate lawyer represents the company, Victoria. And as of today, I'm using my voting power to suspend you from the board of directors. You're on your own.

Victoria was led out of the kitchen, her high heels dragging against the floor as she wept tears of humiliation and rage. The front door slammed shut behind her, leaving the house in a profound, peaceful quiet.
