The crystal chandeliers of the luxury ballroom cast a bright light across the hardwood oak floor. Soft music played in the background while guests in expensive dresses and tuxedos moved toward the grand head table. But behind the smiling faces and expensive flowers, tension hung thick in the air.
Clara: Drink it. Go on, take a sip.
Liam: Clara, calm down. It’s just water. You’re acting completely crazy right now.
Clara: I am not crazy! You cannot touch that glass, Liam!
Vanessa: Oh, let her throw her little temper tantrum, honey. She’s just jealous because you’re marrying me today and not her.
Liam held the heavy crystal glass near his lips, looking confused. Clara reached out her trembling hand, trying to grab his arm before he could take a single gulp.
Clara: Please, Liam, listen to me for once in your life!
Vanessa: Get your hands off my groom!
With a quick, angry movement, Vanessa grabbed a tall glass of sparkling champagne from the table. She swung her arm with full force, splashing the sticky liquid straight into Clara’s face.
The harsh impact hit Clara’s cheeks, stinging her eyes and soaking her white flower dress. Gasps echoed through the room as liquid dripped down her chin. Clara stumbled back, clutching her wet face as tears mixed with the alcohol.
Liam: What the hell is going on here?!
Clara: You think I came here to ruin your wedding? Look at my phone, Liam! Look at what she did!
