Outside the wide bay windows, the sharp red lights of a police vehicle flashed against the green trees of the front lawn. Chloe Montgomery was being placed in the back of a patrol car, her glittering gold dress looking ridiculous under the bright daylight as her social status crumbled into total ruins.
Julian turned back to face Maya. He pulled out an official document from the desk drawer and laid it beside the blue folder.
Julian: Chloe is out of our lives forever. But now we have a house to manage, and a charity foundation that needs proper oversight.
Maya: What are you saying, Mr. Vance?
Julian: I am offering you the position of Director of the Gable Educational Trust. You will oversee the twelve million dollar fund, ensuring scholarships are given to deserving young women across the country.
Maya: Director? Mr. Vance, I... I am just a housekeeper!

Maya felt warm tears of pure relief gather in her eyes. After years of working long shifts, worrying about her family's future and struggling to pay rent, her integrity had changed her life completely. She wiped her cheek with the back of her hand and smiled at the CEO.

They walked out of the study together and returned to the sunlit foyer. Mrs. Gable sat peacefully in her wheelchair near the grand staircase, holding her carved wooden cane firmly in her lap.
