Justice And A Fresh Start

Ethan: Marcus, call my divorce attorneys. Tell them I want the emergency annulment papers drafted by noon. Cite felony charges and breach of prenup.

Marcus: Right away, Mr. Vance. And what about the locks on the mansion doors?

Ethan: Change every single electronic lock code in this house by three o'clock today. Revoke all access cards associated with Vanessa's name.

Marcus: Understood, sir.

Ethan looked down at Toby, who was now resting his tiny head against his father's shoulder, fast asleep after the terrifying morning ordeal. The weight that had been pressing down on Ethan's chest for months finally lifted away completely.

Ethan: Clara, take Toby up to his nursery. Make sure he gets a warm bottle of milk and a long nap.

Clara: Yes, Mr. Vance. I'll stay right by his crib the whole time.

Ethan: I know you will. I trust you completely with my life.

Ethan gently passed the sleeping baby into Clara's warm, careful hands. She cradled the infant close to her chest, whispering sweet, comforting words as she walked up the grand oak staircase under the bright sunlight.

Ethan walked over to the large framed American flag on the wall, adjusting the gold border slightly before turning back to look across his peaceful home.

Ethan: Justice has finally come to this house.

He pulled out his cell phone and dialed his head of security one last time.

Ethan: David, make sure our legal team files a full restraining order against Vanessa and her family. I want a permanent zero-contact boundary established by the court tomorrow morning.

David: Consider it done, Mr. Vance. She will never step foot within five miles of your family again.

Ethan: Good. It's time for me and my son to start over.

As Ethan looked up at the sunny landing where Clara was gently rocking Toby to sleep, a warm smile returned to his face for the first time in years. The evil had been driven out, the truth had prevailed, and a bright, safe future had finally begun for his family.
