The Eviction Notice

Her Stepmother Kicked Her Toddler's Cake Until Her Husband Arrived

The heavy mahogany doors of the mansion estate slammed open as three private security guards marched into the grand foyer, carrying heavy black storage boxes.

Security Guard: Mrs. Sterling, your time is up. Please step away from the master bedroom safe.

Evelyn: Get your filthy hands off my jewelry boxes! This diamond necklace was given to me on my tenth anniversary!

Julian: That necklace was bought with money stolen from my mother's trust fund, Evelyn. Take it off.

Julian walked into the master suite, holding a warm cup of hot chocolate for Leo, who was sitting safely on a leather sofa in the hallway with his nanny.

Evelyn: You are a heartless bastard, Julian! Your father would be ashamed of you!

Julian: My father died wishing he had never met you. Now unclamp the necklace and put it on the table.

Evelyn's hands shook violently as she unclasped the heavy diamond choker, slamming it onto the glass vanity table.

Evelyn: Victoria! Help me carry these bags! Don't just stand there!

Victoria: Carry your own bags, old woman! I'm calling my lawyer to annul my engagement with your useless son!

Marcus: Victoria, please! We can still salvage the land deal in Austin!

Victoria: Shut up, Marcus! You used me to pay off your club debts! I never want to see your pathetic face again!

Victoria kicked off her high heels, grabbing her designer handbag and sprinting down the grand marble staircase toward her sports car parked outside.

Julian: Looks like your happy family is falling apart, Evelyn.

Evelyn: You think you've won, don't you? You think you can run Sterling Enterprises without me?

Julian: I've been running the enterprise for five years while you were busy spending the profits on country club memberships and fake friends.

Mr. Harrison: Julian, the Dallas police officers have arrived at the front gate.

Julian: Excellent. Show them upstairs.

Evelyn froze, her eyes darting toward the hallway as two uniformed officers walked into the master bedroom.

Officer Vance: Evelyn Sterling?

Evelyn: Yes? What is the meaning of this?!

Officer Vance: You are under arrest for corporate embezzlement, wire fraud, and child endangerment regarding the incident on the patio.

Evelyn: Child endangerment?! I kicked a paper plate! That's not a crime!

Julian: You kicked a heavy ceramic plate into a toddler's face, scattering sharp porcelain shards near his eyes. It was all captured on high-definition security cameras, Evelyn.

Officer Vance: Turn around and place your hands behind your back, ma'am.

Evelyn: Julian! Stop them! You can't let them arrest your father's widow!

Julian: I'm not stopping anything. Take her away, Officer.

The steel handcuffs clicked loudly around Evelyn's wrists. She shrieked in absolute indignity as the officers escorted her down the stairs, past the weeping Marcus, and out into the glaring afternoon sun.
