Confrontation On The Balcony

Her Mother In Law Dropped The Baby Until DNA Proved The Secret

Victoria: "Look at me, Beatrice! Look at the woman you tried to destroy!"

Beatrice: "You are nothing! You think a stolen piece of paper gives you power over me?!"

Victoria: "It's not just a piece of paper! It's the official state record that is going to put you in a federal prison!"

Beatrice: "I built this family! I built Vance Financial from the ground up while Arthur was sick!"

Victoria: "You didn't build anything! You stole the trust fund from Arthur's real biological sister!"

Julian ran up the grand staircase behind them, holding six-month-old Leo tightly against his chest. He reached the top balcony, stepping between the two furious women as Beatrice backed up against the white column.

Julian: "Victoria, explain this to me right now. Who is Arthur's real sister?"

Victoria: "My mother, Julian! My mother was Arthur Vance's younger sister who was pushed out of the family when she was eighteen!"

Julian: "What... what are you saying?"

Beatrice: "She's lying! She's fabricating a story to steal our wealth!"

Victoria: "My mother kept every single letter, Beatrice! Every letter Arthur sent her before he died, telling her that you were hiding his true last will and testament!"

Julian: "Mother... did my father have a sister?"

Beatrice remained silent, her mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water as she stared at Victoria's tear-streaked, furious face.

Victoria: "She knows the truth, Julian! That's why she tried to frame me! That's why she wanted to prove Leo wasn't a Vance! Because if Leo is my son, he is the rightful heir to the entire original family trust!"

Julian: "Is this why you tried to drop him over the railing?"

Beatrice: "I didn't try to hurt him! I was trying to scare her into leaving this house forever!"

Julian: "You put an infant's life in danger over money?!"

Beatrice: "It's not just money, Julian! It's our standing in Dallas! It's our company stock! If this gets out, we lose everything!"

Julian: "YOU lose everything, Mother! I don't care about the company stock if it was stolen from innocent people!"

Julian pulled his smartphone from his green suit pocket, his thumb pressing down hard on the screen as he dialed a three-digit emergency number.

Beatrice: "Julian... what are you doing with that phone? Who are you calling?"

Julian: "I'm calling the Dallas Police Department and the District Attorney's office."

Beatrice: "No! You can't do this to your own mother!"

Julian: "You stopped being my mother the moment you dropped my son off that balcony."
