Her Mother In Law Dropped The Baby Until DNA Proved The Secret

The bright Texas sun poured through the high glass windows of the grand Dallas mansion, lighting up the white marble floors and polished columns. Up on the second-story balcony, Beatrice stood wearing a dark blazer and a string of pearls. She held six-month-old Leo wrapped in a fluffy white blanket, her knuckles turning bone-white as she leaned dangerously over the carved railing. Down in the two-story foyer, right beneath the heavy crystal chandelier, Victoria stood frozen in her silk pajamas, her chest heaving as tears spilled over her cheeks.

Beatrice: "STOP, YOU'RE GONNA DROP HIM!"

Victoria: "Beatrice, please! Bring my baby down! What are you doing up there?!"

Beatrice: "He isn't your baby! He doesn't belong to this family, and I won't let you ruin my son's legacy!"

Victoria: "He is my son! Don't do this, I'm begging you!"

The front doors slammed shut as Julian sprinted into the foyer, his dark green suit jacket flying open as his dress shoes skidded across the stone floor. He looked up at the balcony, his face pale with absolute panic. Beatrice tilted her arms forward, and the white blanket slipped over the wooden rail. Victoria let out an ear-splitting shriek that echoed off the white walls. Julian launched his body forward across the foyer, sliding hard on his knees across the polished marble. His arms reached out just as the bundle fell, catching tiny Leo against his chest a fraction of a second before impact.

Julian stayed on his knees, clutching the crying infant to his heart while Victoria dropped beside them on the cold floor, sobbing hysterically and kissing the baby's tiny forehead. High above them on the balcony, Beatrice leaned against the railing, her face cold and completely devoid of regret.

Beatrice: "YOU WILL PAY FOR WHAT YOU TRIED TO DO."

Victoria: "THINK YOU CAN STOP ME?!"

Beatrice: "EXCELLENT."

Victoria: "YOUR LIES END RIGHT HERE TODAY!"

Victoria wiped the hot tears from her face, pulled a brown manila envelope sealed with white labels from her coat pocket, and shoved the official DNA report straight toward Julian's face. Beatrice stared down from the balcony as the seal was broken, her confident expression instantly shattering into absolute horror as the real truth of the Vance family inheritance was exposed to the world.
