Marcus: "You can't do this! Chloe is pregnant with my child! I have parental rights!"
Arthur Vance: "You have the right to remain silent, Marcus. That's about the only right you have left."
Arthur turned away from Marcus and pulled Chloe gently into his arms, wrapping his broad coat around her trembling shoulders.
Arthur Vance: "Are you okay, my brave girl?"
Chloe: "My heart hurts, Dad... but my mind is clear. I'm so glad I didn't say 'I do.'"
Arthur Vance: "You will never have to answer to this family ever again."
Two Dallas police officers in crisp uniforms walked down the white runner, their heavy boots thudding softly on the wooden altar steps.
Officer Davis: "Marcus Miller?"
Marcus: "Officer! This is a civil dispute over a prenuptial agreement! You have no right to interfere!"
Officer Davis: "We have a felony warrant issued by the Dallas County District Attorney for grand larceny, identity theft, and corporate forgery. Put your hands behind your back, sir."
Marcus: "No! Get your hands off me!"
The officers grabbed Marcus by his arms, twisting them behind his back. The sharp, metallic click of handcuffs echoed through the silent garden, stunning the wedding guests into absolute silence.
Groom's Mother: "Marcus! Oh my god, Marcus!"
Brenda rushed forward, trying to grab her son's tuxedo sleeve, but one of Arthur's security guards stepped firmly into her path.
Security Guard: "Ma'am, step back immediately."
Brenda: "Chloe, you evil brat! How can you stand there and let them arrest your baby's father?!"
Chloe: "Because my baby deserves a father with integrity, Brenda. Not a criminal who uses people."
Veronica: "Mr. Vance... what about my money? You promised I wouldn't be prosecuted if I brought the files!"
Mr. Sterling: "You won't be prosecuted for the fraud, Miss Hayes. But you are required to report to the District Attorney's office tomorrow morning as a state witness."
Veronica: "State witness?! I'll be ruined in Dallas society!"
Chloe: "You ruined yourself the moment you helped him steal from me, Veronica."
The officers pushed Marcus down the wooden steps, leading him past the rows of horrified wedding guests who pulled out their smartphones, filming every second of his humiliation.
Marcus: "Chloe! Look at me! Tell them to stop! CHLOE!"
Chloe turned her back on him, facing the framed American flag hanging on the garden wall, taking a deep, steadying breath as the police car sirens began to wail outside the estate gates.
