Marcus: "Chloe, put the phone down. You don't need to involve your father in this!"
Chloe: "Involve my father?! You let this woman march into our ceremony and throw fake accusations in front of our entire family!"
Veronica: "They aren't fake accusations, Chloe! Look at the signatures on those wire transfers! Your precious groom has been funneling money out of your personal trust fund for six months!"
Chloe: "That's impossible! Marcus doesn't even have access to my trust fund!"
Veronica: "He didn't need direct access. He used your forged signature on a joint corporate account at Dallas National Bank!"
Chloe gasped, her hand dropping from her ear as she stared at Marcus. His face had turned completely pale, the angry tears in his eyes giving way to cold, silent panic.
Chloe: "Marcus... tell me she's lying. Tell me right now!"
Marcus: "Chloe, listen to me... I can explain everything. I was trying to save my family's logistics firm!"
Chloe: "You stole from me?! You stole from our unborn child?!"
Marcus: "It wasn't stealing! It was an advance! I was going to put every single dollar back the moment the shipping contract closed next month!"
Veronica: "He's lying to you, sweetie! The shipping contract failed three weeks ago! He used your money to pay off his gambling debts in Las Vegas!"
A collective gasp echoed across the gold chairs as Chloe's mother stood up from the front row, her face red with rage.
Mrs. Vance: "You miserable leech! How dare you touch my daughter's inheritance!"
Marcus: "Evelyn, stay out of this! This is between me and my wife!"
Chloe: "I am not your wife yet, Marcus! And after today, I will never be!"
Marcus: "Chloe, please! Think about the baby! We are supposed to start a family together!"
Chloe: "A family built on lies and stolen money?! You stood there crying like a victim while this woman exposed you!"
Veronica: "He's not the victim, Chloe. I am! He promised me half of your trust fund if I helped him hide the accounting audit!"
Marcus: "Shut up, Veronica! Shut your mouth!"
Marcus lunged toward Veronica, his fists balled tightly, but a sudden roar of heavy engine noise echoed from the garden gates outside. The ground seemed to vibrate as three sleek black SUVs pulled up along the brick perimeter wall, kicking up dust under the bright daylight.
Groom's Mother: "Who is that?! Who is interrupting my son's wedding?!"
Chloe: "That would be my father."
The heavy iron garden gates burst open, and a tall, silver-haired man in a tailored charcoal suit marched down the white wedding aisle. Flanking him were four towering private security guards in dark suits and earpieces.
Arthur Vance: "Marcus Miller! Step away from my daughter right now!"
