Her Boss Slapped The Maid Who Saved Him From Poison

The soft light reflected off the white marble floor inside the private Dallas estate cellar. Rows of wooden wine barrels lined the white walls, creating an atmosphere of quiet luxury for the evening gala. Framed American flag decor hung on the pristine wall in the background as guests milled about. Young server Clara adjusted her white shirt and burgundy apron, her eyes carefully tracking every glass being carried through the crowd.

Clara: Enjoy your evening, sir.

Guest: Thank you, dear. Exceptional selection tonight.

Clara nodded politely, but her pulse raced as her eyes caught a man in a beige suit approaching the high dark wooden table. It was Julian Sterling, the owner of the estate and heir to the multi-million dollar Sterling trust fund. He reached out his hand, his fingers closing around a tall glass filled with chilled white wine.

Clara: NO! DON'T DRINK THAT!

Clara sprinted forward, her hand moving in a panicked blur. She swatted the glass right out of his fingers with sudden force.

The glass fell onto the dark wooden table, shattering loudly and spilling white wine across the polished surface. Julian gasped, stepping back in absolute shock as liquid splashed onto his beige suit trousers.

Julian: What on earth do you think you're doing?!

Clara: NO! DON'T DRINK THAT!

Before Clara could explain, an angry woman in a green silk dress lunged forward from the surrounding crowd of guests in tuxedos.

Woman in Green: WHAT KIND OF RUDENESS IS THIS?!

With a furious grimace, the woman raised her right hand and slapped Clara forcefully across the face. The loud physical impact echoed off the wine cellar walls, turning every head in the room.

Woman in Green: HOW DARE YOU!

Clara stumbled backward against the table, hiding her face in her hands. She leaned over the wine-stained surface, trembling in intense pain as quiet whimpering escaped her lips. She pulled her hands away, revealing a dark red bruised mark across her cheek as tears streamed down her skin.

Julian: Vanessa! Was that really necessary?

Vanessa: She just attacked you, Julian! She's a disrespectful server who needs to be thrown off this estate immediately!

Clara reached into her burgundy apron pocket with a trembling hand, pulling out her smartphone. She tapped the screen with a sharp electronic chime and held the bright display up toward Julian's face.

The screen played a crystal-clear video recorded just two minutes prior: a hand with green painted fingernails pouring a fine white powder into that exact glass of wine.

Julian stared at the video in wide-eyed shock as the color drained completely from his face. Clara looked up at him, tears flowing freely down her bruised face as her voice cracked.

Clara: I ONLY WANTED TO SAVE YOUR LIFE!

Julian looked from the phone screen to the woman in the green dress standing beside him. Her hand was raised, her fingernails painted the exact shade of green shown in the video. The entire wine cellar fell into a dead silence as the truth hung in the air.
