Sirens At The Grand Entrance

He Cut His Wedding Cake And Found What She Hidden Inside

The heavy front doors swung open, and four armed police officers rushed into the mansion, their heavy boots loud on the polished wood floor. The lead officer took in the scene quickly, spotting the syringes on the floor, the broken cake, and the crying bride in her ruined wedding gown.

Police Officer: What is going on here? We received an emergency call regarding an attempted poisoning.

David: Officer, my former fiancée just tried to poison me using prescription drugs hidden inside our wedding cake. We have physical evidence, a eyewitness, and the prescription box she threw in the trash.

Police Officer: Is this true, ma'am?

Clara: No! It's a conspiracy! They framed me! That little girl is lying, and David planted those needles!

Arthur: Officer, I am Arthur Vance. My legal team is already on their way, and we have security video footage from the hallway showing her carrying the box into the bridal suite two hours ago.

Clara: Video footage?! You have cameras in the hallway?!

Arthur: This mansion has full security coverage, Clara. Did you really think you could commit a murder in my home without being caught?

The lead officer stepped forward, pulling a pair of heavy steel handcuffs from his utility belt with a sharp click that made Clara gasp.

Police Officer: Clara Montgomery, you are under arrest for attempted murder, fraud, and possession of a controlled substance. You have the right to remain silent.

Clara: Get your hands off me! Do you know who my family is?! You can't put handcuffs on me in my wedding dress!

Police Officer: Turn around and place your hands behind your back, ma'am.

Clara screamed and kicked, trying to pull away, but the officers held her tightly, snapping the cold steel cuffs over her wrists. The guests snapped photos with their phones as the police escorted the crying, shouting bride down the center aisle, her long lace train dragging behind her on the floor.

Her mother tried to follow, but an officer stepped in her path, asking her to come down to the station for questioning regarding the illegal prescription.

Clara: David! Save me! Please tell them it was a mistake! I love you!

David: Don't ever say my name again, Clara. You're going where you belong.

As the police car drove away down the long driveway, silence returned to the massive room. David turned slowly to look at the broken cake, feeling a heavy weight lift from his chest.
