The Order to Leave

A Wealthy Heir Defends His Maid and Fires His Cruel Bride

The dark red wine dripped slowly from the edge of the granite counter, pooling near Evelyn’s expensive designer shoes. Her left cheek was bright red and swollen, marking the exact spot where David’s hand had landed moments before. The shock on her face was absolute. She had built her entire future around marrying David, securing a life of unlimited wealth, luxury cars, and high-society galas. Now, in a single afternoon, that dream was crumbling right in front of her eyes inside the very kitchen she thought she controlled.

David raised his arm, pointing a strong, steady finger straight at Evelyn’s face. His expression was stern and cold, completely devoid of the affection he had once shown her. He took another step forward, forcing Evelyn to take a step back toward the open doorway. The bright natural daylight streaming through the windows highlighted every detail of his harsh, unforgiving face. There was no hesitation in his stance, no regret in his eyes, and no possibility of negotiation left in his mind.

David: Pack your things and leave this house right now!

Evelyn: David, please! You are acting crazy over a simple misunderstanding!

David: I said get out! Before I call security to throw you out into the street!

Evelyn: You can't just end our engagement over a maid! Think about our wedding next month!

David: There is no wedding! There is no prenup to sign, and there is no future for us!

Evelyn’s eyes welled up with real tears, not from sorrow, but from extreme anger and embarrassment. She looked over David’s shoulder at Sarah, who was standing quietly by the sink, wiping her own eyes with an apron. Evelyn couldn't believe that a simple household worker had caused her down fall. She had spent months carefully crafting her plan to isolate David from his old friends and gain total control over his vast inheritance. Now, her greed had exposed her true nature before she could secure the marriage certificate.

She took another step backward, her heels clicking loudly against the hardwood floor, avoiding the broken glass on the ground. She wiped a stray tear from her eye, her breathing heavy and erratic. The silence in the kitchen was overwhelming, punctuated only by the distant hum of the refrigerator and the gentle rustle of leaves outside the window. David did not lower his hand. He kept his finger pointed at her, his posture unyielding, driving her slowly out of the room step by step.

Evelyn: You will regret this, David Miller! I will ruin your name in this town!

David: Try it. My legal team will have a lawsuit on your door by tomorrow morning.

Evelyn: I gave you months of my life! You owe me respect!

David: Respect is earned through kindness, Evelyn. You have none of it in your heart.

Evelyn: You are making the biggest mistake of your entire life!

David: My only mistake was letting a snake into my home. Now leave!

Evelyn turned around violently, her black dress spinning as she stormed out of the kitchen and hurried down the main hallway toward the grand staircase. The heavy front door slammed shut seconds later, echoing like a thunderclap through the quiet mansion. David stood still for a moment, letting out a long, deep breath to calm his racing heart. The tension in the room began to fade slowly, leaving behind the mess of spilled wine and broken crystal on the floor.
