Richard groaned loudly as he doubled over in intense pain, dropping his legal papers across the light marble floor. He fell hard onto his knees beneath the American flag, clutching his stomach in complete shock and disbelief. He had never expected a waitress to fight back with such speed and strength.
Sarah stood tall and protective directly in front of Clara and the twin babies. Her posture was completely firm, her eyes locked onto the groaning man as he struggled to catch his breath on the floor.
Waitress: Stay back, you monster!
Evil Husband: You... you hit me! Do you know who I am?! I will ruin your life! I will make sure you never work in this town again!
Waitress: Touch this family again and you're going to prison!
Richard looked up from the floor, his face pale and sweating under the bright daylight filling the bedroom. He tried to stand up, but his knees were weak from the impact of the blow. He realized in that moment that he was no longer in control of the situation.
Sarah pulled her cell phone out of her uniform pocket with her free hand. She dialed the local emergency police dispatch number and set the call on speakerphone so Richard could hear every single word clearly.
Waitress: Operator, I need immediate police support at the Vance estate. A man has physically trapped his wife and newborn twins inside a locked bedroom and threatened them.
Evil Husband: Hang up that phone right now! We can settle this with a cash settlement! I will pay you whatever you want!
Waitress: Keep your dirty money. The police are already on their way, and your legal team downstairs is about to watch you get taken away in handcuffs.
Clara let out a deep breath of relief as she watched her husband shrink back in fear. The threat that had kept her trapped for days was finally broken by the courage of a stranger who refused to look the other way. Sarah took Clara's hand and guided her gently toward the open bedroom door.
