Evelyn glared at Clara with pure venom dripping from her eyes.
"Get out of my way, you foolish maid!" Evelyn hissed angrily.
"You ruined everything I worked so hard to build this year!"
Clara stood her ground firmly and refused to move an inch.
Within five minutes, loud police sirens echoed down the long street.
Two estate security guards ran around the corner and tackled the gate.
They held Evelyn by her arms until police cars pulled up.
Red and blue emergency lights flashed bright against the white mansion.
Two police officers stepped out and walked straight to the pool area.
David handed baby Leo over to the arriving emergency paramedics team.
The paramedics wrapped the infant in warm blankets inside the ambulance.
David showed the clear camera footage to the primary police officer.
The officer watched the violent push on the clear digital screen.
"Evelyn Montgomery, you are under arrest for attempted murder," he announced.
The officer pulled her hands behind her back and attached steel handcuffs.
Evelyn began to scream wild curses as she was led away.
"I will get a top defense attorney!" Evelyn screamed loudly.
"You will pay for this, Clara! You are just a maid!"
The police car doors slammed shut and the vehicle drove away.
Silence returned to the massive backyard as the sun began setting.
David sat down on a patio chair and covered his face.
He wept openly as the shock of the event hit him.
Clara walked over gently and placed a dry hand on shoulder.
"He is safe now, Mr. Montgomery," Clara whispered softly to him.
"You saved his life today," David said while looking up tears.
"I could never repay you for what you did out here."
He realized that his wealthy lifestyle had blinded him to danger.
The real monster had been living inside his home as wife.
And the real guardian was the quiet maid he barely noticed.
