David immediately pulled his mobile phone out of his dry suit pocket.
"Show me the footage right now on your phone," David ordered firmly.
Clara reached into her apron pocket and pulled out her waterproof smartphone.
Her hands were still shaking as she unlocked the small bright screen.
She tapped the security application icon to load the live video feed.
Evelyn lunged forward suddenly and tried to snatch the phone away quickly.
"Do not look at that stupid clip!" Evelyn screamed in desperation.
David blocked Evelyn with his strong arm and pushed her back gently.
"Stay back, Evelyn!" David commanded with a stern authority in voice.
Clara hit the play button and handed the phone over to David.
The video clearly showed the entire patio area from a wide angle.
The burgundy dress was instantly recognizable against the bright green lawn.
The recording showed Evelyn walking slowly up behind the baby stroller.
She looked around carefully to see if anyone was watching her actions.
Then she placed both hands firmly on the high rubber handle bars.
She shoved the stroller directly into the blue water with maximum force.
The video captured her standing still and smiling as the stroller sank.
David watched the short video clip twice in total and silence fell.
His jaw tightened as tears of rage filled his dark eyes.
He looked up from the screen and stared directly at Evelyn.
"You tried to destroy my child," David said in disbelief.
Evelyn backed up against the tall wooden fence near the deep end.
"He is not my biological child!" Evelyn suddenly screamed out loud.
"Your entire inheritance goes to him if anything happens to you!"
"If he was gone, I would get everything in the will!"
The terrible truth finally echoed across the quiet luxury backyard space.
David tapped his phone and dialed nine-one-one without saying a word.
"I need police and an ambulance at my address immediately," he said.
Evelyn turned around and tried to run toward the front driveway gate.
Clara reacted quickly and stepped directly into the woman's path.
She blocked the narrow gate exit with her soaked body firmly.
"You are not going anywhere after what you did today," Clara said.
