A Sudden Conflict In The Room

A Mother Protecting Her Son Uncovers A Hidden Secret Inside Her Home

The bright morning sun shone through the nursery window and washed the pale blue walls in warm light.

Sarah adjusted the white curtains softly before walking over toward the wooden baby crib.

Her baby boy was sleeping peacefully under his soft blue blanket while the fan hummed overhead.

She smiled gently as she smoothed down the edges of the light wooden changing table.

Everything in the home felt peaceful until the heavy wooden front door slammed shut downstairs.

Sarah froze in place as footsteps echoed loudly along the hardwood hallway outside the room.

Eleanor marched right into the nursery without knocking or saying a polite word of greeting.

Her eyes were narrowed in anger as she clutched an old yellow envelope in her hand.

Sarah took a quick step back toward the baby crib and held her hands up defensively.

Eleanor: You think you are so clever coming into this house!

Sarah: Eleanor, please lower your voice, the baby is sleeping.

Eleanor: Do not tell me what to do in my son's house!

Sarah pointed toward the hallway with a shaking hand to keep the peace.

Sarah: If you are upset, let us talk downstairs in the kitchen.

Eleanor: You are going to pay for what you did today!

Eleanor stepped forward quickly and grabbed Sarah roughly by her shirt collar near the furniture.

Sarah tried to pull away from the older woman's grip without making any sudden loud noises.

Sarah: Let go of me right now, Eleanor!

Eleanor: You ruined everything the moment you married David!

Eleanor shoved Sarah hard against the heavy chest of drawers beside the wooden crib.

The sharp impact shook the lamp sitting on top of the small table nearby.

Sarah gasped in pain as her back hit the solid edge of the heavy wooden chest.

The baby woke up instantly from the loud noise and began to cry aloud.

Sarah reached out her hands to shield the baby crib from any further sudden motion.

Sarah: Stop it! You are scaring the baby!

Eleanor: You brought all of this drama onto yourself!

The sound of footsteps sprinted down the hallway toward the open nursery doorway.
