A Mother Finds Her Frozen Child Outside The Locked House

The sharp sound of police sirens echoed down the quiet suburban street.

Two official police cruisers pulled into the snowy driveway of the mansion.

Two officers walked up to the front door with heavy winter boots.

Mark opened the door and invited the officers straight into the foyer.

Officer: We received a emergency call about a child in danger here.

Sarah: I made the call, officer. Please look at this video camera footage.

Sarah handed her tablet to the main officer showing the patio video.

The officer watched the video clip with a stern look on his face.

Officer: Ma'am, did you lock this young child outside in the snow?

Victoria: It was just a temporary discipline tactic, officer!

Officer: That is felony child abuse and endangerment, ma'am.

The officer asked Victoria to turn around and put her hands behind her back.

Victoria started screaming hysterically as metallic handcuffs clicked around her wrists.

Victoria: You cannot arrest me! Do you know who my family is?!

Officer: You have the right to remain silent, ma'am.

They led Victoria out the front door into the icy winter wind.

She slipped slightly on the ice as neighbors gathered on the street to watch.

Mark turned to Sarah with deep regret written across his tired face.

Mark: I am so sorry I ever doubted you, Sarah.

Sarah: You need to sign full legal custody over to me today.

Mark: I will sign whatever papers your lawyer prepares tomorrow morning.

Leo looked up from his warm blanket and held his arms out to Sarah.

Sarah pulled her son tight against her chest and kissed his warm cheek.

Sarah: You are safe now, my sweet boy. Nobody will ever hurt you again.
