Two weeks passed quickly, bringing bright sunshine and clear blue skies over the sprawling Sterling estate.
The dark cloud of Victoria's betrayal had finally lifted, leaving the grand mansion feeling bright and truly peaceful.
Arthur sat at his large mahogany desk inside the sunlit study, reviewing official legal documents with his lawyer.
All of Victoria's financial access had been completely severed, and her criminal trial date was set for next month.
A soft knock echoed at the open study door, and Clara stepped inside carrying a small tray of fresh coffee.
She was no longer wearing her standard maid's uniform, but a comfortable, elegant navy blue dress instead.
"Good morning, Mr. Sterling. I brought your morning coffee," Clara said with a warm, humble smile.
Arthur pushed his legal papers aside and stood up immediately to greet the woman who saved his family.
"Please, Clara, sit down. We have important business to discuss regarding your future here," Arthur said warmly.
Clara placed the tray on the coffee table and took a seat on the comfortable leather sofa across from him.
"I have finalized the paperwork for baby Leo's new personal guardianship and trust management," Arthur began explaining.
"I am appointing you as Leo's official primary guardian and head manager of the estate household," Arthur stated proudly.
Clara gasped softly, her eyes widening in pure surprise as she looked at her employer in complete disbelief.
"Mr. Sterling... I am just a maid. I do not know how to manage an entire estate trust," Clara stammered out.
"You are the person who risked your own life without hesitation to save my son," Arthur replied emotionally.
"That makes you more qualified and trustworthy than anyone else in this entire world," Arthur added with certainty.
He handed her a signed document that guaranteed her a massive yearly salary and a permanent home on the property.
"You will also oversee a full staff of new employees so you never have to work exhausting hours again," Arthur smiled.
Tears of joy welled up in Clara's eyes as she held the official legal paper in her shaking hands.
She had spent years working hard to support her own family, never expecting such incredible kindness and justice.
"Thank you, Mr. Sterling. I promise to raise Leo with all the love and care in the world," Clara said softly.
Just then, the nursery door down the hall opened, and a nanny walked in holding healthy, smiling baby Leo.
Leo giggled brightly when he saw Clara, reaching his tiny hands out toward her with absolute delight and trust.
Clara took the happy baby into her arms, hugging him gently while the bright morning light filled the warm room.
