Evelyn froze on the floor, her hand still holding the stolen orange Epipen. She looked up at the older woman entering the room and gasped loudly. Her jaw dropped as if she had just seen a ghost standing right in front of her eyes.
Evelyn: Victoria? No... you were dead! The boat sank!
Victoria: I was dead to the world, yes. Until you tried to murder my daughter!
Victoria marched straight toward Evelyn with terrifying power. She grabbed the orange Epipen right out of Evelyn's weak grip and tossed it to one of her bodyguards. The bodyguard quickly ran to Clara's side and expertly administered the life-saving medicine into the young girl's leg.
Within seconds, Clara began to breathe easier, her chest rising and falling as air filled her lungs again. Tears ran down her face as she looked up at the mother she thought she had lost forever ago.
Clara: Mom... you really came back for me.
Victoria: I never left you, my sweet girl. I had to stay hidden to protect us both.
Victoria turned her attention back to Evelyn, who was trying to scramble backward on the floor toward the desk. Victoria reached down, grabbing Evelyn's hair tightly to force her to look up into her furious eyes.
Victoria: Call nine one one right now! Tell them you just tried to kill my child!
Julian: Stop! Touch my mother again and I will call the police on you!
Victoria: Go ahead, call them. The police are already on their way with a warrant for fraud, poisoning, and attempted murder.
Julian's hands shook so violently that he dropped his phone onto the hard floor. He looked around the room, realizing that their easy life of luxury and stolen money was completely over. Victoria let go of Evelyn, who fell back against the wood floor, sobbing in total defeat.
Evelyn: You can not take the money! Your husband left it to me in his final will!
Victoria: That fake will was forged by your lawyer. And I own every single account.
