Julian's phone chimed loudly in his hand, breaking the heavy silence in the dark office room. He looked down at the bright screen, expecting a regular text message from his bank. Instead, his eyes went wide with pure shock and terror as he read the notification.
Julian: What is this? This can not be real!
Evelyn: What are you talking about, Julian? Focus on the girl.
Julian: The accounts... all eighteen million dollars! They are completely frozen!
Evelyn rushed over to her son and snatched the phone out of his shaking hands. She stared at the bold white letters on the screen that clearly stated the massive bank freeze. Her face turned pale as her cruel posture immediately crumbled.
Julian: What did you do?? Did you mess up the transfer?
Evelyn: I did not do anything! The lawyer said the money was safe!
Clara: I called someone...
Evelyn spun around to look down at Clara, who was lying weakly on the dark wood floor. The young girl was gasping for air, but a faint look of hope had returned to her pale face. Evelyn dropped to her knees beside Clara, grabing her shoulders with tight, angry fingers.
Evelyn: Who did you call? Who has access to your father's estate trust?
Clara: The number... my mother gave me... before she went away.
Julian: Your mother is six feet under the ocean! She has been gone for ten years!
Suddenly, the heavy double doors at the main entrance of the mansion swung wide open with a loud bang. The sound echoed through the high ceilings of the house, making Julian jump back in fear. Cold air rushed into the hallway as heavy footsteps approached the room.
Two large men in black suits walked in first, standing guard by the office doorway. Right behind them walked a tall, strong woman with brilliant gray hair, wearing an elegant dark blue suit. Her eyes were sharp and filled with extreme anger as she scanned the room.
Julian: Who are you? You can not just break into our house like this!
Victoria: This is not your house, you little thief.
