Father: Do not bring her mother into your sick, cruel mouth!
Victoria: Look at this house, Mark! I am the mistress of this estate now! You can't speak to me like I'm some common street criminal!
Father: You are far worse than a criminal. You tormented a defense baby in her own home while pretending to love her to my face!
Victoria scoffed loudly, coming down the final steps until she stood just a few feet away from Mark. She adjusted the heavy diamond engagement ring on her finger, tilting her chin up with arrogance.
Victoria: So what if I kept her out of my sight? She is annoying, needy, and constantly reminds me of your past! You signed our marriage certificate, Mark. I am your lawful wife, and half of this estate belongs to me whether you like it or not!

Victoria's face turned completely pale as Mark took another step forward, his voice dripping with icy absolute authority.
Father: Clause fourteen explicitly states that any act of documented domestic cruelty, child endangerment, or abusive neglect completely voids all financial settlements, alimony rights, and property claims entirely.
Victoria gasped, her hand flying to her chest as the harsh reality of her legal situation slammed into her mind like a physical blow. She had completely forgotten the detailed paperwork her own lawyer had advised her to read months ago before the grand wedding.
