Loud sirens echoed outside the big front windows.
Red and blue lights flashed against the glass.
Two police officers pushed through the open doors.
They saw Victoria lying on the hall floor.
They saw Richard standing guard beside her.
Richard pointed to the wall camera above.
Richard: Check the video feed from this room officer!
Officer: Is everyone safe inside the house?
Richard: The maid saved my young son from harm!
Victoria: This is a misunderstanding! Let me up!
Officer: Ma'am, stay right where you are!
The main officer pulled out steel handcuffs.
He pulled Victoria's arms behind her back.
The metal clicked locked around her wrists.
Victoria screamed in anger as she was lifted up.
The officers led her out the front doors.
She was placed into the back of a police car.
The heavy car door slammed shut forever.
Richard turned around to face Sarah and Leo.
He walked over and knelt down beside them.
He took the crying baby gently into his arms.
He checked Leo's head and body once more.
The baby stopped crying when he felt his father.
Richard looked into Sarah's tired brown eyes.
Richard: You saved my son's life today Sarah.
Sarah: I could not let anything happen to him sir.
Richard: You are the bravest person I have ever known.
Sarah: I am just glad he is safe and sound.
Richard: You will never have to work as a maid again.
Sarah looked at Richard in deep surprise.
She wiped the last tears from her cheeks.
Richard smiled warmly at the kind young woman.
Richard: I want you to be Leo's full guardian nurse.
Sarah: Sir, I would be honored to care for him!
Richard: I will pay for your house and college too.
Sarah covered her mouth with both her hands.
She felt pure relief fill her heavy heart.
The dark storm over the family had passed.
justice was finally served in the rich house.
Little Leo was safe in loving hands forever.
