A surge of fierce, protective maternal instinct exploded deep inside Evelyn's soul in that heavy silence.
She did not care about the wealthy guests, the social standing, or the expensive surroundings anymore.
Evelyn screamed out wildly with pure fury as she charged directly toward her former husband.
Richard's eyes widened in total shock as he realized she was not backing down this time.
Evelyn tackled Richard hard, sending them both crashing down heavily onto the solid marble ground together.
The impact vibrated through the high ceiling foyer under the shadow of the large American flag hanging above.
Guests screamed out in total shock as champagne glasses shattered against the floor around them.
Evelyn pinned Richard to the ground, gripping his expensive burgundy suit collar tightly in her trembling hands.
Richard gasped for breath beneath her, his arrogant composure completely shattered into a million pieces within seconds.
"You just made the biggest mistake of your entire life!" Evelyn growled right into his panicked face.
Her face trembled with ferocious rage as she looked down at the man who had tried to hurt her child.
"I will destroy you!" Evelyn screamed directly into his eyes, her voice shaking the entire grand hallway.
Eleanor called out for the private mansion security guards to hurry over and pull Evelyn away instantly.
Two heavy guards rushed into the foyer, grabbing Evelyn by her arms to lift her up gently off Richard.
Richard scrambled back along the floor, clutching his neck while coughing up air in deep embarrassment.
"She is insane!" Richard shouted desperately, trying to regain his dignity in front of his wealthy peers.
"Call the police right now and have her arrested for assault!" Eleanor demanded loudly from the side.
Evelyn stood tall between the security guards, holding her head high without showing a single trace of fear.
"Go ahead and call the police, Eleanor," Evelyn said with a terrifyingly calm and icy sharp tone.
"Because when they arrive, every single security camera in this grand foyer will be turned over as evidence."
