Arthur carried Clara toward the grand exit where his personal assistant, Marcus, was already waiting with two emergency paramedics.
Arthur: Marcus, have the paramedics secure Clara in the back of the armored SUV immediately. Treat her cuts right now.
Marcus: The medical team is ready, Mr. Vance. The legal injunctions have also been filed with the state court.
Clara: Dad... my personal documents... my mother’s ring is still in the bridal suite upstairs...
Arthur: Marcus sent four security guards upstairs five minutes ago. Every single item that belongs to you is already secured in my vehicle.
Paramedic: Miss Vance, we need to apply a pressure bandage to this arm laceration right away. Please sit back.
Clara: Thank you... please be careful with my shoulder...
Arthur ensured Clara was safely seated inside the vehicle before stepping back onto the marble entrance steps. Harrison Sterling was hurriedly marching down the hall after him, his face flushed with panic.
Julian's Father: Vance! Stop right there! We signed a legally binding prenuptial agreement yesterday afternoon!
Arthur: A prenuptial agreement that included an illegal transfer clause of Clara’s inheritance shares into your son’s shell company, correct?
Julian's Father: It was a standard asset consolidation clause to protect both corporate entities!
Arthur: It was criminal fraud, Harrison. Your son held her phone hostage in the dressing room and threatened her until she signed it under duress.
Julian's Father: You have no proof of duress! She signed those papers in front of a licensed public notary!
Arthur: The notary was your personal attorney, Harrison. Did you really think my intelligence team wasn't monitoring every room in this building?
Harrison stepped back, his eyes widening in horror as he glanced up at the discreet security domes mounted along the ceiling.
Julian's Father: You... you put wiretaps in our bridal suite?
Arthur: I placed high-definition cameras in every room my daughter entered today. I watched your son shove her against that glass table fifteen minutes before I walked through those front doors.
Julian's Father: You knew... and you let the ceremony start anyway?
Arthur: I wanted to see how far your greedy family would go. I wanted to see if a single one of your guests had the character to help a bleeding woman before I tore your world down.
Julian's Mother: You monster! You set a trap for us!
Arthur: You set your own trap, Evelyn, when you treated my daughter like an object you could abuse and silence for money.
Arthur reached into his suit jacket, pulling out a thick legal document folder and tossing it directly onto the hood of Harrison’s luxury sedan parked outside.
Julian's Father: What is this paperwork?
Arthur: That is an emergency court injunction freezing every corporate account tied to Sterling Global. As of three minutes ago, your credit lines are revoked, your Manhattan construction sites are locked, and foreclosure proceedings on this estate have begun.
Julian's Father: You can't freeze our accounts! We have corporate payroll due tomorrow for twelve hundred workers!
Arthur: Then you had better start selling your wife's diamond collection, Harrison. Because no financial institution in North America will extend you credit after today.
Julian: Dad! Get over here and help me! I think my ribs are broken!
Julian stumbled out onto the front portico, clutching his side and groaning in agony as he glared at Arthur with fierce hatred.
Julian: You assaulted me in front of hundreds of people! I'm filing criminal charges against you, you old bastard!
Arthur: Go ahead, Julian. File the charges. Let’s have a judge review the footage of you assaulting my daughter two minutes prior. I'm sure a New York jury will love watching a grown man throw his bride into a glass table on her wedding day.
